Boris the Spider
Do you think there will be anymore permanent signings coming in or do you think the rest of the squad will be made of loans/youth ? Can’t imagine we’ll go in with a big squad anyway with a shorter season In place The Scoopmeister says there is nothing concrete at the moment.
an86
Ziggy Gordon, former team mate of Louis Longridge and Grant Gillespie, just left his club in Australia. Would fit the profile of the age range and level of experience we've been going for.

What youngster is going to dislodge the experienced players we have brought in. Will be a real squad effort when the usual injuries and suspensions kick in and there must be a lot of decent young players kicking about the fringes of premiership sides who would be an asset. Pretty sure they can do a job for us in League 2 and we are in a better position to bring in higher quality now we are pro. Hopefully we will get more permanent signings but if not then I think loans will happen. Of course clubs want their young players to play regularly but perhaps less of an issue when we will now be paying their wages. Previously it was the parent club's goodwill and their manager's good relationship with our manager that got us them on loan for nothing.

an86
Have my doubts about McPake happening if Championship clubs are in for him on loan. Was at Dundee last season. Don't see what dropping to League Two does for Rangers or the player in terms of his development.
qpfc
Wouldn’t mind seeing Jake Davidson back on loan again. Thought he made a big difference to the midfield last season with his energy and physicality, plus he can cover at full back, an area where there isn’t much cover outside Doyle and Robson. Don’t think he’s made the dundee United bench this season either

Thom & Gerry
Are Rangers or any other Premier League club going to loan a player to a club, mixing with players not in a bio secure bubble, then take them back into their own secure bubble for training?

No idea, never seen McPake play, just sharing what I was told. However, given the attacking options we now have in the squad, someone of decent quality is gonna find themselves on the bench sometimes.

Lichtie78
Fair point but maybe a problem for part time clubs! We, as well as other clubs, have already taken players on loan from full time clubs.

Ralstonite
Serious question, folks. With you now turning semi-pro, coupled with Thistle's recent downturn in fortunes, is it conceivable that you might take their place as Glasgow's third club? You also have a more illustrious history, than they do.
