Never heard of Mellon until he was linked with the job but im more than willing to give the man a chance. Judging by the outpouring of grief from the Tranmere fans, im hoping for good things

Worth remembering most lower league English fans believe the Scottish top flight to be the equivalent of non-league football down there.

As many Tranmere fans pointed out he got them 2 successive promotions but was not given the budget to compete in League 1 with more or less the same players he had in The National League. They were also relegated due to covid with 10 games to go and  a game in hand 3 points behind 4th bottom.  Not certain for relegation. Tranmere fans absolutely love him and clearly dont blame him for their position in League 1.

Just find it bizarre Utd are happy with such a poor appointment considering their apparently lofty ambitions. This guy is a Hamilton type appointment
