We love nothing better than pointless ill informed speculation.

What will the outcome of the Legal action by Hearts and Patrick Thistle be?

Happy to add more (sensible) options.

Hearts to be killed with fire, launched into the sea, and the Earth to begin a new trajectory direct into the heart of an uncaring, unyielding Sun.

Afterwards, Patrick to be endlessly pitied and condescended to, as the mentally-challenged accomplice who didn't really understand what the big boy was telling them to do.

"Compensation" is built into the rules by way of parachute payments. They won't get a bean

They may be able to argue that the SPFL are liable for additional costs in terms of player contracts which have relegation clauses in them which the clubs struggle to activate in these circumstances (and may see other legal battles with some players and staff emerge if they try to take it up), I could maybe see some compensation for that sort of issue.

I broadly agree though. If Hearts are theoretically down £8 million in income from being in the top flight, that's fundamentally linked to a cost model that also sees increased spending from playing at that level. The SPFL can't be held responsible for losses, especially when there's a level of control clubs have to approach financial restructuring. Hearts could make drastic cuts and still have a side that would be considerably better financed than Dundee next term.

Rangers and Celtic fans can goad each other in here in this specially designated area. Keep it out of the main forum please, nobody else is interested!

You said Rangers,  oh dear.

Unfair isn't necessary illegal.  Some very serious faces and lengthy statements to come, nothing to see here.

Unless, due to both Hearts and Partick likely having a smaller season than normal the court decides they should be awarded a small amount of money (would need Partick to be playing less games than the Championship are).

A relegation clause had already been activated with their manager.

There should have been a capital T in "there", looks like you missed it out.

That was an error on my part but the fact remains the same.
