However we should not be turning the clock back and allowing players to dip in and out as they feel like it. Snodgrass never offered much anyway he will be 33 by the time of the finals next year .

The Golden God
I fancy Madelaine Petsch and us getting together would make more sense than Snoddy coming back.

While I think his time is up after his daft wee huff about not getting a game, this is absolute nonsense. Snodgrass was one of our best players for about an 18 month spell, and won the national team player of the year award twice.
Richey Edwards
I genuinely forgot that he was still playing.
The Moonster
Snodgrass is probably a good experienced guy to have around but I really do doubt that he can offer us much on the park now. Fraser and Forrest have the wide berths sewn up. Not bad backup I suppose.

Gordopolis
I'd have no problem with him coming back, so long as he's willing to suck up a place on the bench for most games (which is probably where he ranks these days).
an86
You either want to play or you don't. Playing for the national team is an honour and not something you do when it's convenient. He can do one.

He had well publicised reasons for not going, anyway.

Unless it's in utterly exceptional circumstances, it should be the end of it when you walk out.
Savage Henry
Just now, an86 said: It's not nonsense. If you let one or two pick and choose, you send a message out to the rest. It’s emotive nonsense that somehow a football player needs to be bestowed with some kind of altruistic spirit. And Snodgrass’s mother had a stroke.
craigkillie
That was a completely separate situation to him walking out on the squad in a huff after he didn't get picked for the San Marino game.

Perhaps promises were made and not kept. Not that that exonerates him for walking out.
RandomGuy.
Player throws a wobbly because hes desperate to play for Scotland and isnt getting the opportunity. Scotland fans - "HE HATES HIS COUNTRY! BURN HIM!"

Dunning1874
While Snodgrass has been a quality player in the past, it does seem to be forgotten that prior to taking the huff for not being picked he'd started two games running and was the worst player on the park in both of them, with obviously superior players sitting on the bench. He shouldn't be getting into squads now because he isn't good enough.
Binos
No one who ever took the huff and fucked off should come back Onwards and upwards
RobbieD
You have no idea if he took the huff.
forameus
Our aim should always be to put out the best 11 players we have eligible and available, no matter who they are or what has gone before (within reason). Snodgrass does not fit into that, however.
