Just not sure there is any realistic and fair argument for not going to 16 team divisions in year 2 The Premier League club sides kept thier status and did not get added to the Conferences as was first suggested and would have been fairest. This is honestly just for discussion but why would you not get the league numbers sorted asap which would mean just one going up from each conference and unfortunately (for those in Premier League in year 1) that would mean 7 down. A 16 team league half season where teams get relegated or promoted after 15 games? Actually, maybe you are alright with that. Since 14 games was good enough for Johnstone Burgh and 16 good enough for Auchinleck to win titles. Simple fact is 2020-21 was going to be a out of the ordinary regardless of the "grade". The same WRJFA that only a couple of years back were wanting to ban clubs for playing a friendly before Fair Saturday. Andy groundhopper Posted June 25, 2020 Share Posted June 25, 2020 Difficult times ahead, 4 divisions X 16 = 64 clubs allowing for teams going up and down to the LL/HL seems a fair target. The 20 team Premier probably doesn't affect the stronger teams - relegating 4upwards will definitely upset a few. Enough messing about Is there not 67 teams so 4 X 16 doesn't work? 16-16-17-18 would perhaps make most sense as teams in bottom division less likely to go as far in the cup competitions so gives them more league games from 2021-22 onwards.
