CM.
Squad Performance 2021/22 As always, in order of appearences. Perez POTY by a mile. Not a landslide ahead of a few others Average Rating wise but he really was a joy to watch. Power, after struggling to get into the side first half of the season, had a decent enough contribution in the end up. Zirkzee a massive disappointment as alluded to previously. No doubt he'll go on to have a storming career now. Expected more from Willems too. Found his place lost to Dasilva after some dodgy moments. He's worth £13m Willems so might cash in as that would be a healthy profit for a free transfer who didn't perform great.

CM.
Season 2022/23 Window still open but got no money left so don't imagine any more business unless someone leaves. Quite happy with the squad though. Players Out Plus a number of youths. Players In Robby McCrorie Backup to Zoet after Long's departure. Has the potential to be Zoet's long term replacement. Tarjei Kvaalen Most suited to the false 9 role but comfortable in other striker roles as well as on the wing and in the 10. Only 18 and doesn't have great striker stats yet but is rated very good for the senior team in his potential. Might loan him out and see how he gets on despite that, got other striker options so might not have featured too much to begin with anyway. Ryan Cassidy Inspired by his name coming up on another thread, looked handy so decided to take a punt. Only problem is PSG have a £20m buyback clause which they wouldn't budge from in the negotiations so if he hits the ground running then they'll probably just take him back Bernard Mensah Quite happy with this one as a free transfer. Worth £23m immediately after joining. Emre Mor Another freebie. Carles Perez Familiar name and will join permanently next summer, another one I'm delighted with. Matt Smith Signed more for versatility. Won't be a starter this year but not bad cover in a few areas if/when injuries/suspensions kick in. Jorge Cuenca Dawson not getting any younger so this guy looks a good replacement. More of a ball playing defender than no nonsense him and Mavropanos should complement each other well. Need to wait on see how playing out from the back goes... Curtis Jones Had him every season of this save This time permanently though. Neco Williams First choice right back now. Other options are Dasilva (who'll probably start at LB) and Smith so this is the position I'll probably look to add to first whenever funds become available. Rhian Brewster He's back. After an unreal contribution in the Championship title winning season he returns on loan. I usually only play with 1 striker so got something to think about between him and Cassidy. Suppose I could play Brewster in one of the AM positions. Competition is healthy though I suppose. `
CM.
First-team squad 2022/23 Minus Craig Dawson who's out for 3 months with injury. Edited June 17, 2020 by C. Muir
CM.
Fixture dates are a bit different from normal years as its the year of the Winter World Cup. Everything brought forward a couple of weeks from the usual dates it seems. Here's the first few.. 2 newly promoted sides at home (Villa, Forest) is good. Palace away winnable. Liverpool away not winnable. After no wins in the derby last season a good early chance to change that with meetings both in the cup and at home in the league.

CM.
July/August 2022 Delighted with the first 2 games. We absolutely blew Crystal Palace away in the first half. Probably the best half of football in my time in charge. The blip against Newcastle continued, 2 down very early on and managed to get back to 2-2 but they went on to win comfortably. One positive about this game was young Connor Barron impressing in his first senior start. You might've noticed he's in the first team squad above. This will finally be the season he gets opportunities. There's just no point in showing up at Anfield. Poor against Nottm Forest. Created plenty but their keeper was in fine form. Finally a win against Newcastle. They led at half time but thankfully some harsh words from John Collins and I at half time spurred them on to turn the game around. Just realised my screenie doesn't have H/A. It was.. Villa (H) Palace (A) Newcastle (A) Liverpool (A) Nottm Forest (H) Newcastle (H) Good to get points on the board already. September.. Holy f**k. To be fair Wolves haven't started that well this time round but still their solitary win was away to Man City. Edited June 17, 2020 by C. CM.
In other news Wes Brown has failed his continental pro license about 3 times now. Very close to getting binned.
CM.
September 2022 We led Wolves, who then turned it around before Brewster equalised. They've not started great but got some side particularly in midfield.4 against me was Shaqiri - Odegaard - Tonali Bowen, with Oxlade Chamberlain in reserve. Decent point at home to Utd but disappointing not to take all 3 with Bruno Fernandes grabbing a late equaliser. All 3 points this time in the last fixture. Perhaps rode our luck a bit.. But what a result, and a very respectable month October and 1 game at the start of November to come before the break for the World Cup.
CM.
October/November 2022 Mixed bag. Annoyingly led 1-0 against both Arsenal and City. City in particular just seemed to get annoyed and fired in 3 goals in about 15 mins after my 59th min lead. Great performance at home to a Southampton side newly promoted and doing well on their return to the Premier League. McTominay scored against them. Bad one to end before the break at Goodison. Everton were 19th. Moise Kean just about unplayable with a hat trick and assist. Liverpool are a joke Edited July 17, 2020 by C. CM.
Been far too long since I've played this so back into it for a while today. Germany won the World Cup. December/January 2022/2023 Southampton at home is FA Cup. Not played in that long I've had to look back at previous fixtures to remember what my usual XI was Edited July 17, 2020 by C.
