There's a river behind the pitch, and that whole part of Turriff is prone to severe flooding.

Can't imagine this season will be completed. No real chance of getting through the games ahead of any playoffs, and there's even less chance of fans getting in, which was the whole reason behind starting late in the first place.

Football is back in England by the end of March.

The first figures announced for the effect of the vaccines on covid are the Scottish ones and, as the SG often gives the impression of wanting to be different in order to justify itself (my view - others will differ!), the timescale for the return of organised outdoor activities will be different - whether earlier or later or whatever - who knows yet!

Hopefully common sense will prevail and football comes back even if subject to the previous protocols for a while.

Common sense would be to punt this waste of time of a season into the long grass, or maybe play the cups in May, then prepare for a proper season come August or September.

I think the league can be forgotten about this season, I sense little enthusiasm for it. Same goes for junior, amateur and youth. Cup competitions in April/May could be an interesting option.

Would be difficult to get players into gear for a few cup games then shut down for a month for summer, but there are ways around that. The league is a bust tho.

Plus the conversation so far only involves getting games on, not getting folk in. And if we're not doing that at this level, what's the point.

Will see what occurs this afternoon.

Personally don't think there would be a lot of appetite for cup competitions in April/May/June, the majority of teams were unhappy playing league games without fans which would still be the case for any any Spring/Summer cup comps, also from a playing point of view would players have enough time or a desire to get match fit for potentially 2 or 3 games to then stop again for a month?!

There is also the unknown that testing maybe required during this period which is a non-starter, clubs would also have to potentially pay players unless they agree to waive their wages to play in these competitions.

The League Management Committee is clearly playing political games, and maybe a bit of payback for the lack of play-off last season. Declaring Brora champions after they managed to play three games is farcical.

Based on what happened the previous season, Brora (and Kelty) deserve to be put forward for any play off place, but there shouldn't be a championship awarded when teams have played 3 games at most.

Fraserburgh will regret stopping at 13 when they played Turriff.

It is a political decision but forced upon them by farcical circumstances. If there is to be play offs for League 2 then personally I have no issue with Brora being HFL representatives.
