3 people talking garbage in lockdown

Recommended Posts

Gordon strachan - scottish football isn't great - several clubs are part time and don't have massive support. Why didn't we think of that. We should have all gone full time. I suppose you have to have played at a high level to really understand the game. Are you doing an open university degree in economics you little t**t?

richard foster of/ex Ross county - it's morally repulsive that teams are releasing players when furlough scheme is around. I see - Bobby, your knee is bust and your career is over but hang around and claim furlough. Davie, you have been a fringe player all year, played 8 minutes all season, we would definately have been releasing you at end of the season but hang around and claim furlough. Morally upstanding way to use public money. No problem - when pandemic is over we can freeze doctors and nurses pay for 20 years, bit like we did after the banking crisis

Strachan is right, there should be a distinction between full time professional football and part time clubs.

The cash that’s generated through tv etc should be shared amongst the clubs that are giving people full time employment.

Part time clubs should be playing regional football and should be there to serve their communities.

If clubs want to progress then they have to go full time.If they can’t then they stay where they are.

Why should there be a distinction between full and part time clubs?  Shouldn't part time clubs be applauded for doing more with their limited resources than some full time clubs?  Dumbarton recently as well as Ayr, Alloa and Arbroath this season have been worthy additions to the Championship while we have Falkirk and now Partick in League 1.

Part time clubs should be playing regional football - why? How does that improve the Scottish game?

So you're saying that ambitious part time clubs MUST go full time to succeed?  Who is funding that?

The big issues in Scottish football is a severe lack of attention to youth development as well as the numerous youth players not being given an opportunity.  Or it's all down to the fact that clubs like Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers aren't doing enough

If the part time clubs weren’t being subsidised by the full time clubs then they wouldn’t be able to afford to play in a national set up.

Clubs  with a few hundred fans and part time players aren’t professional football clubs.

They are just the same as all the rest of the non league part time clubs who train 2 nights a week and play on a Saturday.

Your own club is being subsidised by the Old Firm.

Your own club are perennial a nae hair away from going bust.

Absolute garbled nonsense from Gordon Strachan. How could you spend all your working life in football and be so fucking stupid.

To be fair, when was the last time you thought someone in football was pretty sharp? The game's full of square pegs in round holes. Willie Miller - outstanding player but a pish manager.  How many utter arses have been in charge of the place at Rangers since Murray?

The usual hysterical reaction from people at lower league clubs in today’s press.

Strachan wasn’t saying the clubs shouldn’t exist!

He was merely pointing out that they weren’t full time professional clubs and shouldn’t be voting on things that were relevant to full time clubs.

Part time clubs have an important role to play as community clubs and in allowing kids to come through and play at a decent level before moving on to professional football.

So we should just allow the full time clubs to dictate what happens in Scotland?

Colt Clubs in the leagues?

Sure!

Reconstruction to simply stop Hearts being relegated?

You full time guys know best!

This has all came from the recent talk about league reconstruction - we obviously shouldn't have a say in it as it's not as if we'll be the ones most affected by it.

Full time clubs should run professional football.

They are offering jobs to people.

Part time clubs who’s players main employment isn’t football are a different thing altogether.

hall of fame game missed the point GIF

You should think before you post, Ann. The rest of football doesn’t give a toss about Hearts.

If clubs like Raith Rovers, Falkirk and Partick Thistle want greater status than part-time clubs, they should try finishing above them in the league.

Scotland has one world class player right now - where did he learn his trade?

The Scottish Premiership clubs have been fighting like ferrets in a sack. Meanwhile, at non-league level the East of Scotland league have made great decisions and have grown to 50 clubs, while the entire West Juniors have just moved to a league established by the Lowland League.

But sure, it's part-time clubs that are holding us back...

Correct me if I'm wrong

Original Rangers - full time club, couldn't look after their finances, died resulting in job losses at the club and to their creditors

New Rangers - full time club, struggling to look after their finances

Hearts - full time club, struggling to look after their finances

Gretna - full time club, couldn't look after their finances, died resulting in job losses at the club and to their creditors

All played in the big boys' league and these are the teams we should try to emulate

Vandy - you appear to be a new poster who doesn't name what his team is, so I'm guessing that with 30 reds from 11 posts that you are trolling supporters of the lower leagues. If you are, please grow up. Life's too short for that keich.
