Songs from overseas.

Recommended Posts

Silly new wave number that hit number one in Germany twice in August 1982. 'I Want Fun' was knocked off by OMD's Maid Of Orleans only to take back the crown a week later. The song partially gives it's title to the 1983 film Gib Gas – Ich will Spass (Step on the Gas - I want Fun) starring vocalist Markus Mörl. Film is notable for launching the career of Nena (stars in the film) best known to those outside of Germany for 99 Luftballons (not featured in the film).

Do the lyrics translate into English as "It's too orangey for crows, it's just for me and my dog"?

Having looked it up, (Jesus, you can find anything on the internet) I can reveal that Borriquito is Spanish for donkey. I presume Benny Hill saw this video and decided to steal  the idea wholesale for his career. I sense you're desperate to know, so here you are. Enjoy.

Donkey like you. (Tu-Ru-Ru)
who don't even know the U (Tu-Ru-Ru)
Donkey like you (Tu-Ru-Ru)
I know more than you.

A (A)
E (E)
I (l)
O (O)
U (U)

Aaaa E I O U!

Donkey like you. (Tu-Ru-Ru)
who don't even know the U (Tu-Ru-Ru)
Donkey like you (Tu-Ru-Ru)
I know more than you.

I'm the singer
I'm the poet
I'm the most wanted
I'm the preferred
of the youth...

With only six letters
I do a thousand songs
And everyone applause
with great excitement
my inspirations.

I sing to the girls
I sing to the bartender.
I sing to the doorkeeper
I sing to anything
I sing to the whole world

And with this accent
I seem foreigner
but I'm from Vigo
I call myself Peter
and my name is Pedro.

A (A)
E (E)
I (l)
O (O)
U (U)

Aaaa E I O U!

Donkey like you. (Tu-Ru-Ru)
who don't even know the U (Tu-Ru-Ru)
Donkey like you (Tu-Ru-Ru)
I know more than you.

I've had it up to here with the English language and I need to hear some choons sung in a foreign tongue.

So get posting your favourite songs from overseas.

How about a murican, singing Italian pop tunes from the 50's & 60's Live, in South America ?
