Apparently according to Scott Burns you're giving Danny Rogers training facilities.

Would be a fine replacement for Siegrist... imo, of course.

It says in the courier apparently he asked to train with us and we've said ok.

I hope we're broadening our horizons beyond players who ask to train with us.

We beat Brechin 4-1 today in a friendly, Clark got a hat trick and Pawlett got the other.

However, everyone beats Brechin so #Courtsout, etc.

Forfar didn't during the week 😉

Mvondo taking it pretty, pretty well.

I actually have no clue if the guy is any good. But I'll be raging if he turns out to be a star for Hibs!

Is that not a few players we have lined up that they have obtained over us in the end? Recently.

Liam Kelly apparently joining Motherwell over you guys.

Tam Courts : "We had no interest in signing Liam. None whatsoever. In fact a deal was offered but we pulled out when we heard he wouldn't touch us with a barge pole and went to a club that knew what it was doing"

Alan Nixon saying Oxford are coming back in for Jamie Robson.

MK Dons in for Shankland but won't pay the fee United want.

Sadly that could be the nub of it.  Motherwell and other similar teams in the Premiership may well be the main clubs we are competing against for signings.  If our set  up looks experimental then I can see players being inclined towards clubs with more established management systems.

I've heard they are offering a pretty decent wedge for Robson. Like well above what I'd value him at.

Shanks is going nae whar.

Eh got telt (as the taxi driver tale begins) that we want £1m for Shankland.  Now, if he'd had a good season and scored 12-15 goals with 2 years to go contract wise then I could see that. But not after a poor season with a year left.

Saying that, I would rather we kept him and got a better season out of him than take a low ball offer of less than half a mill.

Same. £1 million is quite high considering the circumstances, but I am happy to have him around for another year and lose him for nothing next summer. If someone wants to pay silly money for him now then great, but if not...why sell unless we have to?

Issue is, I get the feeling we will sell for a lower fee right at the end of this window or January to make a quick buck.

Just a gut feeling, nothing more. The fact we are losing guys to Motherwell (respectfully) says to me that we are either hugely skint or players don't want to come to the club because of the set up.

Dundee United will always be seen as a bigger club but regarding Kelly you have to remember he knows the club, manager, and players ( he was the players player of the season) from last season. You could also argue that Motherwell have been in the top flight for so long it’s quite a safe gig if you are signing a 3 year contract. You do well for a couple of seasons in the top flight then get your move to a big club as many others have ( he’s still only 25). With respect I’m not sure you have that same guarantee at United with the management and spending being all over the place.   I of course say this when the Kelly move has still not been confirmed, if he now goes to United ignore all of the above.
