The Dundee United Thread 22/23

No idea if there is anything at all in the Fletcher thing, but as with the doubters about Mulgrew last year, you're way off - he'd be brilliant at this level for at least another couple of years.

Not necessarily banging in the goals - but being able to hold the ball up and bring others into the game.

So a taller version of Watt then?

Oh god I just realised.

We're going to have a front 3 of Watt Fletcher McNulty

Watt is pretty good at holding onto the ball, but more of a tricky, play it into his feet out wide sort.

Fletcher more of a b*****d in the middle who can hold off defenders.

McNulty might even thrive alongside them ;)

no but look at his goal return in the past 2 seasons, surely a big wage could be spunked on a decent younger striker emoji848.png

Do you really think he's getting a big wage from us? Just because someone suggested he was on good money at Stoke?

I like the sound of Fletcher holding the ball up and Watt creating chances. Sounds good if it comes to pass. Wed just need someone to be the designated "blooter it in the net" player.

Hed be on a chunk but Fletcher, like Mulgrew, would offer something for a season or two. An experienced player leading the line while helping our young guys come through.

Is he doing coaching badges perhaps?
