Personally I'd have gave him the next couple of games, and asked what players want to play for the jersey and what players don't.

I'm really disappointed in a fair chunk of players. If we win tomorrow night, it'll be clear as day whats been going on.

Another issue is our finances don't come anywhere near to stacking up. And this just compounds the matter further.

And then what do you do with the players who don't want to play for the jersey?

Some relationships are just beyond repair, or beyond repair within a reasonable period of time.

I think the first thing the new person has to do is sort out any dissent in the dressing room at whatever the cost.  Then sign a decent DM.

On a separate note, can loans occur outwith the transfer window?

Nah. There will still be some free agents but not loans.

I suppose the risk with that is that they were almost guaranteed under Ross to get papped out the league cup. Then you're fighting a relegation/bottom 6 battle.

The transfer window closes in 2 days and you would be highly unlikely to have a new manager in place. He'll need to wait until January.

Once upon a time. These days there is usually plenty of decent players still available that are out of contract come the close of the window.

I've just been sacked from a fixed term 1 year contract. Early within probationary period mind you. Shame I'll not get the rest of that contract paid off.

On another note @Pull My Stringsdon't suppose you want a wee discrimination case to handle? 😅

Shagged the bosses misses type post ^^^^

I had a guy come to me once looking to raise a discrimination claim because he'd been sacked for going shopping on Christmas Eve after his boss had turned down his request for time off. "f**k it", he said, "I'm taking it anyway".

I had to gently break it to him that being a bell-end isn't a protected characteristic. I'm sure that's of no relevance to your claim, AK.

It's actually not 🤣. Just spoke to EASS and they agree with my assessment I've been let go and I fall under a protected characteristic. Genuinely PM me if you fancy taking it. Should be a fairly open and shut constructive dismissal / discrimination case.
