Football contracts are mental. You don’t sign a contract at your work for a period of time. God knows what Ross has done that has managed to hack off a group of players so fast who were trying for Tam Courts last season. Even if it turns out Ross has been a massive arsehole and clashed with folk left, right and centre, the lack of effort or professional pride in the last few games has been shocking. The squad have gotten what they wanted, as they were always going to, especially with the transfer window about to shut. Say what you want about Courts but he clearly had the team operating and playing for him. And memories are very short, not many Dees were dead against appointing him a few weeks back despite what allegedly happened the 1st time we were sniffing around (although that may have been more down to Nelms than Ross). Much will depend on how things go for us between now and Christmas. All true, but of course sacking a manager after just seven games is less absurd than continuing with a manager who has overseen 7-0 and 9-0 thumpings within that period. I'm really disappointed in a fair chunk of players. If we win tomorrow night, it'll be clear as day whats been going on. Another issue is our finances don't come anywhere near to stacking up. I think the first thing the new person has to do is sort out any dissent in the dressing room at whatever the cost. Then sign a decent DM.
