I really doubt we'll sign another striker this season unless Shankland goes in January. We've got Shankland, Clark, Appere and Smith all who can play up front or off the main striker.

We desperately need a winger or two and a capable CB though absolutely.

Canna stand it when people say that x,y or z can play upfront. I want strikers to play up front not players from other positions

But its true? Appere and Clark's best positions are up front and you could argue that Cammy's best games for Utd have been through the middle, alongside his player of the year season at St Mirren. The mark of a good player is someone who can play more than one position imo unless you are a specialist in one position like Shankland. We all know they are very hard to come by.

Anyway, I agree with the striker comment, unless Shankland leaves I cant see us signing a striker.

Which out of those four isn't a forward?

As Sieb alludes to Appere is really a centre-forward playing 'out of position' on the wing.

Priority positions are centre half and winger.  Get quality in both those positions and we should stay up.

If we want to be doing more than just surviving we probably need to improve in another 3 or 4 positions.

I think the days of forward players only being able to play in one position have long since gone, by and large. Specialist strikers like Shankland are pretty rare in this day and age. Forward players are generally expected to be able to play out wide rather like Appere did for the bulk of last season.

Fair enough mate give him a shot there then. No way is Smith a striker or can play as a lone striker though

The short term issue is that reading the description of the product in that link it's not  entirely clear what will be available on Saturday for away fans., but it looks like the model is the same as the other teams in the division so you'll need an international subscription and an ex-UK IP address to see away games.

"Furthermore, our matchday broadcasts – available live to international subscribers and Virtual Season Ticket holders and On Demand for Domestic (UK & Ireland) subscribers"

If the chequebook was opened a teeny bit (which its not till arbitration is put to bed at best) then -

1 good centre half as a priority

Things could be worse in that department though...

Col Donaldson is Tam Kite. As a defender and as a human being.

I have no evidence of the second point but more than enough evidence of the first point.

Aberdeen and Hamilton have said there'll be an announcement on  PPV either Tomorrow or Tuesday. I imagine it'll be at around £14.99 per match.

Guessing the arbitration outcome should be revealed today.

They can not leave it much longer with the season starting on Saturday.

I think if the new season was a factor they'd have come to a decision before now

I kinda hope they say nothing all week, until on Friday evening it slowly begins to dawn on the Jambos that their dream is over.
