Melanius Mullarkey
Total legend of the Scottish game. A fucking mentalist by all accounts but by f**k that Utd team of 83-87 was something else.

johnnydun
As Mularky says, a total legend of the Scottish game. Especially in Dundee, for both clubs, but obviously more so United. One of a kind, achieving things that will never be repeated.

East Coast Warrior
The league title ended up at Tannadice and the videos aren't in black and white. Remarkable what he was able to do with a team that had won nothing before he arrived.
paranoid android
Really sorry to hear this - what he achieved with United was incredible, and they were so good to watch. An absolute legend - rest in peace, wee Jim.
falkirkthebigclub
Only got into football around 1986/87 so missed his earlier European exploits but that run to the final was glorious. The semi was like a game of chess and the 2nd leg in Germany was such a classic away victory. He was from a bygone era but an absolute giant of Scottish football.
