Null and void u-turn

This suggests Chisholm was in some form of contact with Petrie  "Mr Chisholm claimed SFA chief executive Rod Petrie would be less inclined to accept a nomination based on anything other than final league standings."

So on a different subject matter, Petrie didn't object to Conferences at tier 6 and then changed his mind which caught the LL off guard and saw a lot of sh*t chucked in their direction.

Join the dots.

Not hard is it

I remember at the time the decision was announced it was said they declared champions so that there would be a qualifier to the Scottish Cup. When it was called out that Auchinleck Talbot had a member on the committee, it was pointed out they were not involved in the decision.

Turns out they missed an important couple of steps in their decision making process.

More like they added a couple.

Like (1) cancel the decision to declare null & void because the Talbot rep & acting president doesn't like it and (2) change it to give him the decision that benefits his club

Doesn't look too bad , look at the first article that folk are complaining about it getting scrapped - they still had to decide a participant in the cup even if the league was null & void.

I admire your stoicism, but this is not a position which can be defended.

If league is null and void just say no one gets Scottish place if it didn’t happen they can’t nominate someone so who gets the Scottish junior cup place then beith or pollok as they are only 2 teams in the semis
Its says it would have been the best performing in the league that would get the Scottish cup place

The Scottish Cup rules say the winners of each Junior Championship are eligible, not that a club must be put forward.

Obviously the honourable thing to do would be for the SJFA to write to the SFA and say that they have no eligible clubs to take part in the Scottish Cup.

That 3rd email instructing destruction of the minutes was sent by the Interim General Secretary of the SJFA, not the West Region. Strange.

I'm guessing the from line has been truncated and the full title is "Interim General Secretary of the SJFA West Region" ;)

There should be no places as the junior leagues no longer exist then it be easy just to say leagues weren’t finished so we won’t be taking up the place

That's the SFA that's wanted a participant then

We didn’t have a winner it was being declared null and void until the talbot member in the committee intervened the west committee should have just said we don’t have a winner so we don’t have a particepent the same as the east

It was getting declared null and void yes but even with that the SFA still wanted a participant in the cup and they were still going to use best performing in the league

If that's the case why didn't the SFA ask the East Region for the same ?
