What will never be accepted is these people appearing out of nowhere running our historic junior clubs that should be and will be left to those involved previously. These rifts are here forever and the 'pyramid ' will long term due to the nature of scottish never really come to full fruition. All in all a truly sad set of affairs an idea that was mean to push scottish football in non league football on has well and truly smashed it to pieces with mistrust and bitterness that will never go away very much mirroring the spfl top four leagues. These divides will now never heal from an officials and fans point of view. Against my better judgement, let's pick that one apart. You're grossly overestimating the power of a football forum, and "the junior game" was and is merely the sum part of the clubs that are and were involved. Haven't seen anyone attacking them, unless you know different. The only opprobrium I've seen was directed at some of those who were administering it at the time - however notably not at those who were carrying out their jobs well - and most of the time it was justified...for instance, in your mind should one of their number's inability to plan fixtures more than six days in advance or indeed the dropping of an N-bomb at a public meeting been handwaved and escaped censure? That being said I wouldn't be entirely surprised if at least a couple of the incumbents will attempt to get into positions of influence in the new set-up notwithstanding all the statements about the blazers not being important to them at the WRSJFA meeting...but we did however hear quite a lot at that meeting that turned out not to be the case. Not entirely sure what you mean by people coming out of nowhere to run clubs - if you're talking about the reps of the EoS/SoS et al, they've probably made more progress under unprecedented conditions in a couple of months than the previous incumbents made in a decade. If you're talking about new committee members perhaps with new ideas coming into clubs, well what can I say - are you advocating that to avoid the potential contaminant of change, longstanding committee members should continue after they are old, infirm or indeed dead? The third paragraph to the end - you're projecting. You in your various guises and a handful of others obviously don't like the direction of travel and you're entitled to your viewpoint, but the vast majority seem to be positive about developments. I agree however that there will perhaps be some bitterness on the part of those running the 15-20 teams that were railroaded into moving by the fact that it was announced that there would be nowhere for them to stay should they refuse to move. Whose decision was that though? In terms of officials and fans once again I reckon you're projecting your own feelings, admittedly I can only speak for those of my own team because that's all I've engaged with, but they seem to be wholly on board with the move and looking forward to the new setup...if anyone's nursing a deeply held grudge because their special juniory feeling has been taken away from them they've certainly kept it to themselves. Andy groundhopper
Christ, this bloke's bitter and twisted against everyone 'non junior' it seems. I'm sure that because he has enough time to be on P&B then before long, he'll be on a committee somewhere, helping to heal the wounds. My apologies for being positive re the pyramid
spud4
Congratulations, you managed to write a post without using the word "junior". [emoji23]Coming from the man that can’t stop commenting on the junior section of this forum More than happy to accept the accolades your club achieved at this level yet on the other hand the first to now slate it. Clearly you didn’t like the juniors but your pishy comments are embarrassing.

Clearly you didn’t like the juniors but your pishy comments are embarrassing. I think every supporter of the 63 former junior clubs who have moved to the WoSFL will be proud of their clubs' achievements over that time. What is amusing about traffordab, though, is that he is refusing to accept the reality that junior football in the west of Scotland has come to an end. I wouldn't say I slate the junior "grade" (whatever that term means, as I don't think it exists outside of Scotland in footballing terms). I do however repeatedly say that people like traffordab have to accept the reality of the situation. All of the clubs moved over because the West Region SJFA officials wanted that to happen and actively encouraged them to do exactly that. Many of them wouldn't have moved otherwise. Traffordab is pining for junior football in the West, but he needs to accept that the people who ran that grade are the people who encouraged its end in the west of Scotland. That's the reality of the situation.

Not every clubs members come and have a go at the juniors though like you do. Your comment on the Tucker Sloan thread on the junior thread is petty and indeed embarrassing. The juniors was no doubt a good grade of football over the years and one where your club specifically were successful. The spite and pettiness you now spout about it merely taints that success. We have all moved on, wether happily, luckily or forcefully to a new level of football but ultimately we will all be remembered, at least in the foreseeable future, as ‘junior’ clubs and we should be proud of that fact.
