Loads of people saying that if the season had been made null and void then the prize money would have been split equally. My take on that would be that if the season hadn't existed then all TV money would have been claimed back by Sky, BT and the BBC, and sponsorship money would also have been called back. What prize money would there have been?

The TV money is surely dependent on games being screened and the sponsorship money is on advertising being seen by viewers and spectators. Those still happened, regardless of the competition status, so if the contracts were sensible, there'd be no grounds for clawing back most of it - except as regards games not being played or whatever.

One really needs to start questioning Tom English' objectivity in all this. Particularly considering he's the chief sports writer for the BBC. Embarrassing.

Ha, I just posted some of his shit, including this. He's posted to links to the statements but has only commented on certain ones and not others.

He having an absolutely nightmare and just keeps digging. He's annihilated any credibility he had. He can't admit that he got it wrong and so is continually doubling down on stuff that even has to know is nonsense.

You may well be right, but not so sure that the TV companies and sponsors would have just sat back and accepted that.

Tom English been sarcy the other day with Brechin then totally ignoring their statement yesterday. He has chosen his side and has gone baw deep in the quicksand.  with no idea how to get out.

On Brechin not been relegated does he not understand finishing bottom of Division 2,  unlike the other divisions, doesn't relegate a team?  It merely places then in to a separate play off round which is currently impossible to take place and we dont even know who they would play if it ever got of the ground. .

I think he knows the structure fine but he's flailing so is just trying to make pish up, like Brechin saving themselves from relegation because their chairman sits on the SPFL board and somehow either wields loads of power or personally has the final say on matters of relegation.

1. A handful of play off games could be played before the start of next season.

2. I believe changes to the Highland/Lowland playoff with bottom Div 2 needs agreement between SPFL and those leagues.

There should be a poll on who has made the biggest c**t of themselves:

Tom English

Scot Gardiner

Ann Budge

Stewart Robertson

Neil Doncaster (In the interest of fairness)

Got a lot of sympathy for Brora and Kelty but reconstruction would have been the way if the other League 2 sides weren't so feart after what Cove and Edinburgh City have done. Having the play offs just before the new season could mean Brechin losing all their central belt journeymen and having to replace them with teuchters and sheep. Apparently there aren't any footballers between the Tay and Stonehaven.

You think their position played no part in their vote? Aww, bless.

It's fair to say, Tom English is first.
