What you're saying is quite possibly accurate, but saying it doesn't make the relegation of a biggish club, in circumstances like these, any less funny. Quite the reverse in fact. The relegation/demotion/expulsion of a team in circumstances that impose financial hardship on it and its employees is only ever funny if that team is Rangers, Celtic, Dundee, Morton or Airdrie. I don’t make the rules; I just observe them. -

It was absolutely hilarious when they went down and the expulsion of all the toys from their prams on the way.

rb123!
A genuine question here, has McCall said anything about what's happening? I've not seen anything which i'm a bit surprised about as he's usually likes to update fans and obviously is usually on the BBC a lot.

Anyone who observes such rules, complete with the apparent Falkirk exemption clause, is OFTW.

Better get practicing I've never been to any of those towns or Methil. Looking forward to our scandalous demotion from that perspective. If we'd have been relegated under normal circumstances we'd have taken an absolute ribbing, deservedly so. Don't see any difference in this tbh. I actually find it all quite funny myself. Whole thing is a mess.

Assuming those Clubs survive this crisis I think they’ll both still be waiting quite a while longer before they’re back playing top tier Scottish football. They’ll be playing Thistle in the league again long before they find themselves playing, say, Aberdeen, put it that way. Yum yum yum called it in my belly.
VictorOnopko
Our shambolic relegation had obvious piss-ripping value for fans of teams like Ayr and Morten, who are generally delighted to tread water in the lower half of the second tier without hope of ever doing better. It no doubt sweetened their obvious respective bitternesses about taking their manager when we decided we wanted him, and taking their lifetime's chance at top tier football away with such ease a few years back. Can't blame them at all for piling in and I hope they enjoyed it at the time. Looking ahead, if we were to lose one of those fine clubs to the seaside league shortly, it wouldn't be a surprising or notable turn of events in any way - and I doubt it would produce a dedicated gloat-thread like this one.; just a shrug.
