John sheridan junior legend

Recommended Posts

Read he's leaving beith not sure if retiring from playing assuming so??

Big guy must be classed as a junior football legend.

Not a beith juniors supporter so don't know exactly his honours won but must be a good few not considering clubs he played for before and any honours won.

Did John play scotland junior?

In 12 years with us from 29 years old to 41 years old he won Scottish, Premier twice, West twice, Ayrshire, Evening Times, captaining the team to them all once. Was with Benburb, Largs and Neilston previously. Scored every season as well and wasn't really classed as a goalscoring centre half. 360 games for us.

I watched him last year and at the start of this season against Dalry. it was such an easy game for him, reading everything. His movement is slow and cumbersome now, but at that age, its expected but he made up for it with speed of thought and reading the game

Well done sir, it was a privilege to see you play

Is the big man taking us a coaching role as well as playing on?  Fair play to him still having the hunger and desire to keep playing after everything he has won.
