Did it happen and are they likely to be going for licence in near future. Would also have thought Whitletts would go for it with facilities at Dam park. Whitletts are moving back to the Whitletts area to a facility currently used by their youth/community wing. Facility isn't WOSL compliant so staying at Dam Park for at least 22/23. That's correct. Once they have sorted out the ground and moved back to Whitletts the intention is to apply for a licence. They might not be fully in control of when they move as Ayr Rugby Club are buying Dam Park.
Dev
Maybole had a set of floodlights delivered during last season. There was a video showing the delivery. No idea if they are up yet or if going for a licence although as more clubs see the benefits more will go for licencing over time.

Andy groundhopper
Will have to find the criteria required to get a license, some clubs seem better (ground wise) in their facilities etc. Well done to every club in their efforts and speed in getting things done. I take it for granted down south in step 6 upwards, really good the Scots are catching up. Work behind the scenes seems to be a regular sticking point, come on folks try and help.

archieb
Yay for Pollok! And hearty congratulations to all the other successful applicants, see you in the BIG Scottish Cup next season! Benburb, Bonnyton, Kilwinning, Pollok, Rutherglen Glencairn join Talbot, Bankies, Cumnock Darvel, Meadow and legacy clubs Glasgow Uni and Girvan (and Threave) as SFA members. That's quite a substantial WoSFL tranche bearing in mind where things stood pre-lockdown. Looks like Glenafton, Petershill and possibly Gartcairn and Maybole are going to be next year's candidates, with Whitletts also waiting in the wings - anybody else? Hurlford? Largs? Beith? Troon? Cambuslang? Arthurlie? Rob Roy if they ever get into that new ground at Kirkintilloch? Any ambitious clubs in the lower leagues? All must surely have the capacity to do what this year's group have done, do they have the desire? Edited June 3, 2022 by archieb

Last season there was just one preliminary round, and 15 clubs were given byes. So long as this year’s tournament has 15 or fewer additional entrants, the format can remain the same. Right now there are 12 additional entrants: 9 newly licensed clubs plus 3 qualifiers.

FairWeatherFan
Last year should be a bit of an outlier. Pre-Covid it would be more likely to get 3+ weeks notice.
