WoSFL Licensing

Wouldn't surprise me to see the spfl actually increase the 42 to say 44 in a bid to preserve their status and reduce the fear of relegation. Good luck to the progressive WOSFL - one question : Are the top six West clubs bigger than the bottom spfl 6 ? Definitely a yes, which is why the big boys are scared - gone a bit stale so get relegated ! !

Good point. Wouldn't surprise me if eventually they came to a compromise involving increasing League Two to 12 teams and bringing in automatic two-up, two-down.

When I say the old first and second division, I mean the current Championship and League One under their old name (not the original first division when it was the top league). Those were ten-team leagues with two automatic relegation spots until years ago when the playoffs were introduced.

My god but you're a young thing.

Weren't the divisions you're talking about named Division One and Two not First and Second?

No, I mean when the set up moved to four divisions in 1994 (when ICT and Ross County joined) and it became Premier/First/Second/Third. There were two automatic relegation spots from the ten-team first/second divisions until 2007 when they changed it to one automatic relegation spot and second bottom in playoffs with the division below. Obviously it then became Premiership/Championship/League One/League Two later on.

Great to see the lights going up, I take it for granted down south, keep up the good work. With clubs getting licensed and ready to progress, will we ever see a situation like the National League where there are so many ex  EFL clubs ?  Are the top 12 Scottish non Lge clubs better than the current spfl2 crop ?

Clydebank with an audit last week, must be confident of having everything sorted next month.

Looking Good!

Any idea if Yoker are also going for a licence this time around?

Was at Holm Park the other day, the work this season has been fantastic and the place looks great.

Any update on covered spectating

The quote after the audit is "There wasn’t a lot that we still had to do, and I think virtually all of those things are at the completion stage." which presumably means the covered spectating area is taken care of, otherwise they won't get the licence.

There is a new enclosure and a further enclosure to come. Should have cover for about 4/500 in total easily.
