AFC Bournemouth, an Alternate History

August 2009,

I'm getting tired of drawing Championship teams in cups as they always seem to destroy my team and the result kills confidence.  After a great 3-0 to start the season I got smoked 5-0 at Cardiff and my team has been garbage since.  Well beaten at Yeovil followed by a game at home where I dominated but couldn't score and then played well in the first half at Gillingham but collapsed in the second.  I do still have plenty of injury worries but this is not the start to the season I was hoping for.

Now we are cooking with gas.  4 straight league wins has seen us rocket up into promotion contention.  Brilliant win at Tranmere was followed by a smash and grab home win over Brentford, 2 penalties conceded by the same Chesterfield defender (who got a 4.0 rating) and then a shitfest win at Torquay.  It hasn't been pretty but we are winning!
