rovers271194
Back to pretty much full strength i think. Another big 90 minutes Straightforward first half but feel we should be better than 1-0. Glad to get another couple of goals as was starting to get very concerned but glad to come through that. Georgia away next
rovers271194
Pretty much same again squad wise. Hopefully another Belgium and Ukraine can take points off each other to make the last game slightly easier to prepare for
rovers271194
Well we come to Georgia away. It's giving me bloody nightmares but surely after a 10-0 home win we have to win here. Will also have one eye on the other game in the group Well far better than expected and more comfortable than hoped. Some cracking goals in there Ryan Christie has been absolutely brilliant and is now up to 11 international goals. Incredibly Oliver Burke has scored 15 The last game against Ukraine is going to be nerve wracking. Probably up there with Italy at Hampden
rovers271194
This is the table of 2nd placed teams. Looking good that a 2nd place finish would do the job but we need to beat Ukraine. Didnt think it was going to come down to this but thats where we are at. Shit. Actually looking at it a point might be enough to beat Belgium on head to head. Win the game and we are there anyway so will aim for that
rovers271194
Well here we go. Can't see anyway this can go in our favour but here we go. Glorious failure here we come Well well. What an amazing first half. Only a great save right on half time stopped it being 4. Can't believe we are 45 minutes away from the world cup Absolute chaos. Ukraine back to 3-3 with 2 cracking goals before John McGinnn popped up with a late "winner" Absolutely devastated. Can only hope we scrape through in 2nd place
rovers271194
Well we have done it. Fine margins. Really feared that 96th minute goal had done us to be honest but absolutely brilliant to qualify from that group
RandomGuy.
That Ukraine game is just Scotland all over Great achievement finishing above Belgium.
dysartrovers
I can't imagine watching that in real life. Would need hospitalised after That Ukraine game is just Scotland all over [emoji38] Great achievement finishing above Belgium.
CM.
Ukraine goal there reminds me of the Poland game in 2015ish(?) when Lewandowski equalised at the death. I was sitting behind the goal at the other end and they had sent Fabianksi up for a set piece. I thought it was him that scored it Congratulations on the qualification. If this was real life we would've definitely finished in Belgiums position
dysartrovers
We would absolutely would have been that. Actually thought I had in the game too. I had thought a draw would be enough before the game but hadn't factored in the games the day after so had a panic. Got a long wait now till the actual world cup as it's been moved to the December. Interesting to see how it's fitted in to the fixture list.
CM.
Might start a Scotland save myself. IIRC I've not went them yet since getting FM20 when it first came out. Be interesting to compare how similar or different our squads are, especially a few years down the line.

I haven't really attempted to persuade anyone to play for us so might be worth trying to get a striker that way. Good luck
rovers271194
Squad for the friendlies away to Croatia and then the Czech republic. Without Keiran Tierney, Oli Burke and Billy Gilmour. Brought in Aidan Fitzpatrick who has had a full season on loan on the championship from Norwich and done well. Also hopefully and answer to my striker problems with Taylor. Not yet started a league game for Everton but has 4 goals in 4 sub appearances so hopefully he will become a regular for them.
rovers271194
Given Fitzpatrick and McCrorie debuts. Hopefully McCrorie will push on and make the right back slot his own. Not a great first half, not helped by losing McGinn after 10 mins. McCrorie looks a bit lost so far and a dodgy penalty for the 2nd. Make a few subs at half time and hopefully get an improvement. 2nd half didn't get too much better but pleased to see Taylor come off and make a difference. Had a goal chopped off before scoring a brilliant team goal not long after. Really looked the part
rovers271194
Hoping for a better outing and a bit of a confidence boost. Whirlwind start and great set up play by Hickey for the 2nd so he might be a starter at right back. Armstrong with two brilliant headers. Forget how good he is and is still only 29. Will make a few changes again as there are a few players that have only to play 45 minutes. Really disappointing 2nd half. Players were all over the place and it could have been much worse.
rovers271194
Well the world cup draw has finally been made and I've got to say I'm not too disappointed at all. We are by far the worst according to the rankings but feel we have a chance of sneaking out of the group. Glad to be there
rovers271194
Also had the draw for the forthcoming nations league division and this couldn't have gotten any harder. Will take an absolute miracle to avoid relegation. Almost a certainty that I would get Belgium again too
rovers271194
Squad for Switzerland away and Germany at Hampden. Got a genuine worry here that a bad campaign would mean im sacked before the world cup
rovers271194
Switzerland away first up. Need something from here to avoid relegation. Nightmare start but improved dramatically after that and were well on top before they got a goal late on. They actually had an equaliser chopped off in injury time. Watching this Scotland team would be really hard work. Gutted to not win the match but would have taken that at the start. Germany at Hampden next
rovers271194
Kept the same starting l11 for the Germany game. Will need to be at our best to get something but you never know at a sold out Hampden. By far and away the better team at half time. Should have had a couple so far but hopefully doesn't come back to haunt us. Well that went far better than I could have hoped. Completely in control. Brilliant performance all round Top of the group after the first round of games
