Walking Down the Beechwood Road mk 2

Recommended Posts

Thing is the committee has picked a venue and we certainly can't complain about the facilities. Also we have 100% record in Falkirk in Cup finals maybe an omen. If people really want to go to this game they will make provisions to get there. I think there would be a lot more Talbot fans missing this game due to working a Saturday than there would due to travel restrictions. Anyway last word on this for me as I'm off to sunny New Cumnock.

Your a naughty Lurcer!

See this is not hard.

Say you have 4 full buses but you have enough fans to fill four and a half. Well hire five and split the numbers equally across the 5 and then you have capacity on 5 buses for latecomers. It might cost a little more per head but it’s worth it to get a larger support.

Here's a fact then, of the venues that were considered and contacted, some of which would be on your fictional list of 20, Falkirk was the best, available option.

Two words to note are - best & available.

Kennie I have and had no way of knowing what was investigated and what wasn’t. One poster put that only spfl grounds were considered, again how would we on here know that was the criteria?

TBH it wasn’t until you posted  I had some idea it was you who was part organising . I’m sure those involved did the best they could and there is likely a reason or a variety of reasons no venue in a venue dense part of Scotland were suitable on the date. 🤷‍♂️ The fun of planning and folk including myself are going to have preferences and opinions of venues.

do we know how much entry will be yet?

I have had no part in the organising of the venue. That was down to others on the Cup Committee. The inference on here though is that Falkirk was picked out of the blue and nothing else was considered, hence everyone telling us why it should have been somewhere else.

You're still casting doubts on the choice or the work that has went in to securing a venue, despite me telling you otherwise.

You will remember as well as me, entire threads of opinions on the junior cup final venue selection every season. Seemed acceptable then for the venue selection to be open to every and any opinion but doing so now, is me casting unfair doubt or attacking folk?

Think we will have to agree to disagree on this one, sure it will be a great final and look forward to it, just wish it was a bit more central for everyone.

Complaining about a cup final venue is silly.

Agreed, debate is healthy and the real issue here is why in 2022 can you not a bus until after 10:30am on a Sunday? #ThanksSNP #monthesocialists 😂😂😂

That’s a fictionalised alternative suggestion! Along with my 20 others.

Anyway this not what folk want to read, they want to see the trolls leading as we attack each other in our demand for folk to be sacked or replaced such is our complete disarray about possibly coming second this afternoon.

Folk have to catch buses to get to the supporters buses. Why is this not common knowledge?

I missed the part where I said it was impossible? Its very possible but much less convenient, practical and less regular than catching the one bus to the city centre for example. Anyway that’s just one reason Falkirk isn’t a great location for this final imo, I’m guessing you just don’t like the stadium?

The stadiums fine I just don't think finals should be played on plastic.

If its guid enough for the Champions League then I don’t see the problem with non league teams playing on it

It’s a point, I probably slightly prefer grass but had a few finals on Astro now. Always feels a scorching and not sure if that some sort of heat retention of the surface or just cause it’s been nice days.

Another league game missed by you piyo, but no doubt you will be at both cup finals (that's if you manage to get a lift to Falkirk)
