Walking Down the Beechwood Road mk 2

It will be some effort to win the league from this position. not only a lot of games but a lot of hard games.

The only positive of such a congested schedule is that if we do start winning a few games the points will start racking up quickly.

Really disappointing when you see the potential magnitude of both beith v Talbot games that neither of them are on a Saturday,  both clubs are no better than any other club in terms of preferential treatment however we maybe don't promote our game the best we can when it comes to the fixture hand out  and maximising crowds.

If you win that at least you know you’re the best team.. in the country! If you’re going to be successful the more games, it’s inevitable. I can see the argument that mid weeks have started earlier but there’s probably good reasons and circumstances behind why that’s not transpired. We forgot sometimes the quality works of peoples far out weighs any renumeration for doing it.

@Kennie has said in the past that clubs asked for less midweek games at the start of the season and that he's restricted by the play off dates so he's not to blame. The truth is though that something needs to be done. That run in is beyond the pale for working men to play in or to pay for to support their team. If it's a senior league then it needs to be ran with senior thinking.

Despite my warnings and misgivings, the clubs didn't want midweek games at the start of the season.

It was discussed again with the clubs at a recent General Meeting. They will come back into use at the start of next season.

They didn't ask for less. They asked for none.
