Walking Down the Beechwood Road mk 2

Just seen there that Dundee Utd have sold only 1400 tickets away to Killie in the cup. Obviously just the apathy of Scottish football. Doesn't really get you excited to be part of the pyramid does it? Virtually at the top of the tree and you can't sell 1500 tickets.

They've played each other countless times over the years and it's a 200+ mile round trip. 1,400 is a cracking away support.

It's an embarrassment but seemingly normal for Scottish football.

Whys it an embarrassment? 1400 is a decent support.

Actually on second thoughts, you and Marshy are right. I'm out of touch with Scottish football and going on the fact that Talbot sold out their allocation so quickly and could do so again by the sound of it. Also thinking that five tiers higher than Talbot should be pulling people in every week but again, out of touch. I therefore retract!

Where has this recent weird obsession with other club's attendance figures come from?  Mind when folk used to just go to games and support their own teams without counting numbers of empty seats?

Well done to everyone who goes to games, whatever size of crowd they're in.

It's relevant in this chat due to the fact that Talbot could sell more tickets but take your point in general.

Seen the ticket allocation 1785 Talbot 1485 hearts. Very generous from Talbot , personally I would have given hearts behind the far away goals , 250 at most lol

Its should have been something like 2100 Talbot 1150 Hearts

Should be much smaller than that for hearts IMO. Ma mate reckons they might need to get a certain amount because they're a top flight team.

I thought the minimum you could give a visiting side was 20% of the total for the Scottish Cup Talbot should probably have just given them that.

It's a pish state of affairs if there are spares that could have went to Bot fans. Talbot will have handed those over in good faith that Hearts would manage to shift them.

Lesson: Never trust anyone from Edinburgh.

Not looking good for Talbot at HT ... BBC 1 viewers being treated to a few class shrieks and wails from the talbot moon howlers present ... they're just not used to not getting things their own way it would seem ,,Hearts certainly just toying with talbot now and my coupon for the talbot win is in the bin

Outplayed today

Yes, by the third biggest club in the country at the moment. Millions of pounds worth of players who had embarrassment of an early exit last year to shake off. Was good for the fitness levels and experience and would not want to be playing for Beith next week.

Thought some folks expectations were unrealistic, someone in the Talbot end shouted at wee Aaron Mason (who is a teenager and was playing amateur football last season) for not getting to ball before Scotland international Craig Gordon… 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Thankfully vast majority of fans seemed  very proud of the players today. Players looked extremely deflated but were already heroes before the whistle blew 👍

The result doesn't bother me too much just thought it was an awful performance.
