Northern Counties East League wouldn't have them. They'd have to try for Northern League!

Don't see why the should be parachuted into levels above existing teams There is not a remote chance that Hearts would be admitted into English football leagues, Celtic and Rangers are certainly not wanted. But! just for arguments sake, Hearts go into the bottom tier of English football, they finish bottom of the league. Ta-Ta Hearts, they would have to qualify again from the lower tier of English football. If Deans thinks it would be a good idea of visiting English lower league grounds , similar to Highland & Lowland in Scotland , aye! 12 , 14, 16 hour round trips to the bottom of Kent etc. Me thinks that the majority of Hearts supporters will prefer to suck it and see, chances are they will be straight back up to the SPL next year.

BTW thanks for taking Neilson off our hands; I, for one, will be forever grateful. And don't forget with the added bonus of also being given vast amounts of cash for him too! Of the 42 member sides of the SPFL, 22 employ players on a full-time basis, while the remaining 20 are part-time. Strachan thinks the lack of fully professional sides is holding the game back. "If you want to be a professional club, show it," he told the BBC's Scottish football podcast. "Have full-time employees, have full-time players, have an academy, do the whole lot. Just don't play at being a football team and expect us to look after you. "When you talk about clubs coming into the league, what are they bringing in? Two hundred people per week to a game, is that really professional football? "The teams in the bottom two leagues at the moment, in general, how many players have they produced over the last 14 years?" Bump to exactly three months later: Dundee under technical director, erm, Gordon Strachan punt their entire paid academy coaching staff: https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/1532860/breaking-dundee-fc-axe-academy-staff-cost-cutting/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social You hate to see it happen. Fife Saint 1,874 Report post Posted August 25, 2020 First cost cutting exercise should be the absolutely frivolous 'technical director' at a diddy club such as Dundee.
DA Baracus 17,973 Report post Posted August 25, 2020 Strachan truly is an absolute cretin who has no place in Scottish football. A pish talking bitter old moron with archaic ideas that are hilariously incompatible with the reality of our game.
