The rules state: “A recognised football body, club, official,Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, referee or other person under the jurisdiction of the SFA if found to have infringed the Articles shall be liable to censure or to a fine or to a suspension or to an expulsion or to ejection from the Challenge Cup Competition, to any combination of these penalties or such other penalty, condition or sanction as the Judicial Panel considers appropriate.”

This is assuming that the SFA sanctions apply, and that depends on who the defendant is. Hearts might be able to spin it as not being an SFA dispute because the SPFL aren't part of the SFA. If they were stupid enough to name other teams on the lawsuit, they're definitely fucked, but if it's just the SPFL as defendant, there's wiggle room.

It came a bit late for reconstruction, but it seems Hearts have finally managed to unite Scottish football and helped bring them together to fight for a common cause.

Celtic winning 20 in a row?

The SPFL are a member of the SFA. That is an indisputable fact.

Did you know the English FA are also full members of the SFA.

Please learn how to quote posts properly.

And, your club have done more than most to help Celtic on their way. Not only did you vote alongside the other 11 Premiership clubs to hand them the title, your legal action only mentions promotion and relegation, giving a 2nd big maroon rubber stamp to Celtic's title.

Choosing to pick your fight with Dundee Utd, Raith and Cove after having absolutely shat it from big Pedro Lawwell.

You hate to see it.

Aha, I was somewhat confused by neither Wikipedia nor the SFA website not claiming the SPFL as a member; I was under the impression they were separate but obviously linked. If the SPFL are one of the bodies covered by the SFA's arbitration rules, Hearts may very well be screwed twice over, as both the SPFL clubs and the SFA bureaucracy could smash them to bits separately...

I wholeheartedly apologise for my incorrect use of quotes.

I would suggest reading the joint statement on the Hearts website to gain a deeper understanding of what's actually happening at the moment.

If that's too much, Partick should have a copy on their website.

You need to read your SFA handbook.

First time caller.....

Dyed in wool Hibee so freely admit to being biased. But also hopefully fair and balanced. Admit to having initial sympathy for Hearts - imperfect solution - but appalled by their subsequent arrogance, entitlement and delusions of grandeur. Who advised them on their PR ? And precious little self examination of the roles Budge and Levein played in getting them to this point. Any sympathy from me - and majority of other clubs - disappeared pretty quickly when they sought to threaten, bribe and coerce.

Plenty of mates who are card carrying hard nosed Jambos. Sensible and likeable long time friends but they appear to have lost the plot over this business. No rational thought, just anger and increasingly aggressive.

And so to Court. Nothing is certain in a court but still believe this will end in a mutual face saving out of court settlement. Amount anyone’s guess but the real cost - regardless of financial winners and losers in judicial process - will be far greater for Scottish football, friendships and communities than this whole sorry affair.

Not read the rest of the thread, so it might already have been covered, but:

Quick look at the deluded chaps on Kickback and the Edinburgh City chairman is their new hero because he voted for ....erm....getting promoted to League 1..

The cnuts, sorry our friendly maroon neighbours, can turn up to our games if they're boycotting away games then.

City of course voted as believers in progress and not through naked self interest in the same way Hearts originally proposed reconstruction and all the other clubs decided which way they were going to vote... :whistle

Ah, so Hearts are actually contesting the awarding of titles then ?

It does say the opposite on the website mind.
