Interesting lines toward the end or the article..................

"Anderson is adamant that his cash will be made available regardless of the outcome of the reconstruction debate, with more money to follow.
But Hearts will hope his intervention may have helped to whip up support ahead of next Monday’s deadline"

If prize money, TV money, sponsorship money etc has to be split 44 ways instead of 42, how much would each club stand to lose on average? Would it perchance be circa £50k?

Incentives and/or threats will be made based on indicative votes probably.

Most likely there will be plans B-Z ready to be tabled instead.

At the very least it will allow Hearts fans to draw up a boycott list.

Brora though are under absolutely no obligation to actually accept a place in the SPFL if they didn't want it. They can't be forced to leave the Highland League.

Its not clear if Brora are under an obligation to join. As an Sfa licence holder (which you have to be in order to be in the LL or HL), that includes a commitment to participate in the league pyramid and so if did refuse they could in theory loose their Sfa licence. Although could argue I guess that as this would be an invitation to join the spfl rather than enter via the pyramid playoff they could say no on this occasion.

I like the idea of 14-10-10-10 with an earlier split.

More games against teams that are at our level.

Top 6 play 2 less games to free up for cup runs/europe.

Bottom 8 get more games.

However I do not like it just for saving hearts.

If it is done it has to be permanent.

Anyone could be in a cup semi final not just the top six, and games in Europe don’t usually stretch into the period when a top six would be fulfilling fixtures.  So these plus points don’t work.

Oh I think they do and don't forget Partick have the same advice from their own QC.   The SPFL Board all of a sudden are interested and proposing resolutions when before it was shoulder shrugging stuff.   Auld Donald will be delighted at Kelty and Brora coming in.

You guys obviously have little experience of these sort of situations and are easily swayed by your own bias.

A top 6 would play 10 games, a bottom 8 would play 4 games, 4 of a difference so quite lop sided

You probably lose one full house v rangers or Celtic plus the TV cash for that live game.

What's that worth, £75k? £100k?

So they've written to the championship clubs asking them to commit to 27 games. Then in the next sentence, it's clear that they don't even know what team are going to be in the fucking championship next season. Did they write to Hearts and Inverness, or Partick and Falkirk?

There is no cash for televised games, just lost revenue from a smaller crowd

Split after 26 games? No thanks
