League Reconstruction 20/21 season

I like the idea of 14-10-10-10 with an earlier split.

More games against teams that are at our level.

Top 6 play 2 less games to free up for cup runs/europe.

Bottom 8 get more games.

However I do not like it just for saving hearts.

If it is done it has to be permanent.

Anyone could be in a cup semi final not just the top six, and games in Europe don’t usually stretch into the period when a top six would be fulfilling fixtures.  So these plus points don’t work.

Oh I think they do and don't forget Partick have the same advice from their own QC.   The SPFL Board all of a sudden are interested and proposing resolutions when before it was shoulder shrugging stuff.   Auld Donald will be delighted at Kelty and Brora coming in.

You guys obviously have little experience of these sort of situations and are easily swayed by your own bias.

A top 6 would play 10 games, a bottom 8 would play 4 games, 4 of a difference so quite lop sided

You probably lose one full house v rangers or Celtic plus the TV cash for that live game.

What's that worth, £75k? £100k?

So they've written to the championship clubs asking them to commit to 27 games. Then in the next sentence, it's clear that they don't even know what team are going to be in the fucking championship next season. Did they write to Hearts and Inverness, or Partick and Falkirk?

There is no cash for televised games, just lost revenue from a smaller crowd

Split after 26 games? No thanks

That’s just your opinion and the same old threat everyone uses when they try and use the legal card.  The reality is that Hearts don’t have so strong a case as to have anyone quaking in their boots.

Tell you what, though - the SPFL board don't think they've got too strong a case or they wouldn't be fannying about with yet another proposal, would they? Unless they are just stringing AB along - which should piss her off sufficiently to ensure we are off to court. And if the SPFL really are belatedly trying to minimise the harm, but are thwarted by a quarter of the members, then again, AB should feel comfortable taking it to court.

While Kelty have never made a secret of their ambitions remember questions have previously been raised about how much Brora want to be there.

Brora Rangers are 100% all for League 2 football.

Their chairman has stated all thru this they want into the SPFL.

I also spoke to some Brora fans last season and they were all for following Cove into the SPFL.
