"Scorched earth policy"

I'm sure Dunfermline, ICT and the handful of clubs standing up for social justice and fairness within the game will be very grateful to be the only clubs not to be ruined by the absence of the great maroon poond.

Waitwaitwait, why does Dunfermline get a pass? Their chairman was one of the two who got together with a bunch of Championship clubs to 'bully' the ICT chairman into altering his vote, according to the dodgy Rangers dossier? They were high up on the Hearts shitlist a month or two ago.

What changed? Is it that Dunfermline is the handiest awayday to wherever this guy lives, or is it that Raith Rovers displaced Dunfermline as the Most Evil Team In The Kingdom of Fife for having the temerity to <checks notes> defend themselves when served with a lawsuit?

Don't worry, 'Randy Marsh' was quick to put him right.

Sorry Dunfermline. Hell fire shall rain down upon thee as well.

Looks like Hearts will be boycotting entire games if they refuse to have anything to do with any of the clubs that voted against them.  Not much different from last season then.

I feel bad for the folk who would have carried on legal action: imagine being that conditioned to humiliating defeat on a public stage that you'll go to any lengths to make it continue.

Sure the comparison has been made already, but it's like Japanese soldiers continuing on a battle footing until 1947.

There was a soldier called Teruo Nakamura who held out til 1974 hidden on Morotai Island in Indonesia. Two other similar cases earlier that decade in Guam & The Philipines as well.

I had no idea anyone held out until that point!  Without wishing to make light of a terrible situation, I'd imagine that Hiroshima & Nagasaki would be equivalent to the league being curtailed & if the Japanese had only been able to fight on, they surely would have been victorious.

Publish the details or we will cry corruption !

What?

You want to publish? b*****ds !!

They're pulling a sneaky on the Jambo peanut gallery. They're demanding the whole proceedings be published, knowing fine well that the proceedings spent a ton of time riffling through all the commercially confidential internal documents they promised Lord Clarke they'd keep secret. They know fine well that the SPFL can't agree to that, so this is their way of justifying keeping the judgement quiet to minimise the full effect of their horsing by the arbitration panel.

If that article is true then good grief, Hearts and Thistle really are at it.

I particularly like the part that said if they hadn't forced it to arbitration, then it would all have been in the public domain in court. Sorry, we really are STILL going down the route of having a go at SPFL for going by the rules all clubs signed up to??

This smacks purely of trying to keep the narrative going of them being put upon.

Yep, wonder how long it will take Tom English to call out Doncaster for this outrageous behaviour though?

That started right after Doncaster's interview on Sportsound on Saturday. Selectively quoting and highlighting the negative stuff and totally ignored the fact he explained they'd agreed a League sponsor this year until they pulled out due to Covid and instead tried to imply Doncaster doesn't understand the significance of a league sponsor etc.

Because the club voted for the last reconstruction.

I seen that. Absolutely disgraceful from the chief sportswriter of BBC Scotland. Completely misleading about the context of the statement he highlighted.

He goes on about how the SPFL have shite sponsorships, maybe if the national broadcaster weren't lying on social media about stuff they said it would be marginally less difficult.
