How long do arbitration cases usually last for, could this delay the start of the season.....

The judge mentioned that the SPFL are conifident that it can be delt with quickly and without delaying the season.

There will be an outcome as it is arbitration as opposed to mediation.

As someone else has said, there is only limited circumstances in which an outcome from arbitration can be challenged.
So SFA can impose a solution as opposed to Hearts and Thistle having to agree ?

You can now see how Hearts fans thought they were going to win their last eight games when they’ve managed to turn this court verdict into a victory.

I would also ban them from the Scottish Cup next season.

Hopefully you're right. I saw reports that the judge had left it open for a return to court if arbitration failed.

Supposedly, on top of the indignity of losing the SPFL's motion, Hearts are paying for 50% of the SPFL's legal costs.

Successful businesswoman Ann Budge and chums have been giving money to the SPFL for months, so what's another 50 grand between friends?

Let's hope it covers the costs of bribing Dundee, don't want them out of pocket.

Arbitration will be a bit like an informal court (which is why it needs proper legal representation).

As I understand it, it's not a negotiation at this time (that's more mediation), it's just a re-hash of the original arguments but with an 'impartial' arbiter making a ruling.

What I'm not sure about is whether or not one of the parties can go back to court if they don't like the arbiters decision.  Some seem to suggest they can only go back to court if arbitration has been conducted in an erroneous or impartial way.

Yours, not in the slightest bit a legal eagle.
