League Reconstruction 20/21 season

Has Budge backed herself in to a corner with the court case nonsense?

She was using it as a threat but many of us never expected her to actually go through with it. Has she now screamed and wailed about it so much that she can't back down due to whipping up support of the Hearts fan base? Basically she now can't be seen to be weak by the Hearts support.

Or do they genuinely have a case? Only some flailing Hearts fans think they do but none have yet been able to explain it.

H.P. Lovecraft wrote of "the fear of the unknown".

Never have those words had more salience than when watching a succession of P&B dunderheads scream "WHAT UR YE GOIN TAE COURT WITH" as if they would have the slightest comprehension of the intricacies of the legal minefield that HMFC are setting out as we speak

Now, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

What exactly do Hearts hope to achieve in the court case? St Mirren relegated instead of them? Dundee United refused promotion? Since the leagues aren't changing I can't see any other alternative.

Why would the team in 9th get relegated instead of Hearts?

Just out of curiosity, what do you think is best case scenario for Hearts here? Allowed to play in top flight? Massive compensation package?

They already get a parachute payment as compensation.  I think the phrase you are looking for is bunch of chancers.

Personally I think this is now about money.  Compensation that they were probably going to get anyway.  An ‘out of court’ settlement.  A bit of face saving in the wording.

Would a court case not take about a year (Kind estimate considering the circumstances in the world right now) and thus they can only be looking for financial compensation unless they plan on bringing the whole of Scottish football to a standstill, which isn't very fair, is it?

Love it.

The only way Hearts get to stay up is if the league is reconstructed and no court can force that decision on a plc.

Financial compensation.

If only league had an (entirely unfair) way of compensating teams for being fucking shite and finishing bottom.
