Except it is, as is stated on it's website.

"To ensure that the future of Heart of Midlothian Football Club remains secure for all time."

Does that not extend to supporting it financially?

That phrase is referring to having a club, and the purpose of the FoH money was to buy it back from Budge.

Will they help out if required, almost certainly, but it's not a given, there'd have to be a vote. And it's categorically not it's purpose to be providing money for the day to day running of the club.

So there are two points here.

First off, both the mission and the aims clearly state they will support the club financially. I appreciate there may need to be a vote in regards to transferring funds but I'm sure if the choice was let the club go bankrupt or provide that funding there would be only one option taken.

Secondly, it just highlights the pathetic case that successful businesswoman Ann Budge is trying to put forward. She can fund the club, FoH can fund the club, but successful businesswoman Ann Budge would rather threaten the small businesses (clearly not as successfully run as successful businesswoman Ann Budge's successful businesses) with having to got to court to get money owed to them.

This successful businesswoman patter is quality.  Keep it up lads.

Are you saying she isn't a successful businesswoman?

Anyway, feel free to address the points I raised.

The main point you've got wrong is nowhere in their vision does it say they will support the club financially.  The aim was to secure our future and make sure the club isn't run by someone willing to rack up masses of debt.

Initially clearly that's financial, but once the shares are transferred that's not the long term aim of the foundation.  The club should be self sustainable under their ownership.

Anyway it is neither here nor there, if it comes to it they'd help.  But it doesn't mean Budge should automatically assume that money is there.  It's her duty to try and find a solution for the club without asking for it.

"To ensure that the future of Heart of Midlothian Football Club remains secure for all time."

'Ensuring the future / remaining  secure' must include supporting it financially.

https://www.foundationofhearts.org/our-aims/

"Following this historic event, the Foundation’s aim is to continue to provide financial backing to the club by asking members to support the club ‘ever more’ through pledging for life."

'Continuing to provide financial backing to the club', literally couldn't be clearer.

So the argument here is that others should somehow pull out all the stops to ensure Hearts don't go bankrupt but the sugar daddy (a successful businessdaddy?) money is to be ring fenced for better times? Seems somewhat insulting to other clubs imo.

We actually have a recent case study of a club having to prepare to play in the top league on very little notice.
Dundee, who had finished second in the First Division in 11/12, had to prepare, at short notice, for playing in the SPL after Rangers died and a spot was opened up.
They did not do well. They finished 11 points clear at the bottom. They scored only 28 goals and conceded 66, both the worst in the league, and had the worst goal difference in the league, -38. They didn't win in 14 games. They lost 6 in a row once. They only won 7 games.
They simply didn't have enough time to prepare and it showed very clearly.

It's one of the many reasons why you can't just decide to have the playoffs shortly before the season begins.

How did Dunfermline get on the previous season when they had a full summer's notice?

lol you can do that if you want.

No point here in anyone overworrying.Lockdown is easing and if statistics keep falling the way they are, we'll be back to as normal as we can be in a few months.

The mongers of doom can stop now.

That's not the vision, it's the aims.  Which comes after "this historic event", being the purchase and transfer of shares.  Which hasn't happened yet.

As I said before, financial backing would probably happen, but it's not just cash sitting there waiting to be used.

That's from the vision and the aims on the website. Now perhaps they have been paraphrased for succinctness but it's still pretty clear.

In terms of cash "not sitting there to be used", can you imagine other clubs without such a slush fund at hand showing much sympathy for the "we're going bust" scenario? No, you really can't.

You have still given exactly zero evidence as to why you think Sky would be able to (or even want to) weasel out of this deal if the season starts as scheduled and delivers the number of games that they paid for.

https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/latest-hearts-news/hearts-announce-increased-turnover-ps3m-latest-accounts-1044468

"The accounts show that FoH handed over £1.32m to help fund the club and continue repaying owner Ann Budge for her initial outlay to help Hearts out of administration in 2014."

All is Barry wouldn't have got such a thing wrong would he?  Presumably it's a matter of public record.

I dunno how many time it needs to be said but the FoH money isn't for the running of the club.

Hair splitting especially as they're helping to fund construction of the new stand which I presume is intended to increase club revenue.

Headline = "Hearts: No relegation ruin fears as reconstruction plans take shape"

Yet the article, as of 1430Hrs, says nothing that remotely relates to the headline.  The fucking BBC are getting as bad as the Evening News and Scotsman bigging the successful business woman up at every turn.

Bottom line is Accies had finished bottom, no one would have given a feck, about reconstruction, Accies fans aside,

For Budge its all about self preservation of her investment.

Accies winding up the SPFL for 7 seasons now
