As has been said, an absolute free pass for struggling clubs to withdraw, sit the rest of the season out, and go again next season with absolutely no penalty. However you dress it up, it's appalling in a supposed Pyramid. The scenes if 2 or 3 clubs withdraw......

Don't think there will be scenes. Like I said there will be a couple of clubs in the EoS Premier happy that they aren't getting squeezed out for the return of VoL & Edinburgh University and the same for the couple of Conference sides that make the First Division.

In the non-league "professional leagues" at the moment only the EoSFL are setting withdrawal with a relegation penalty, and they only set that rule long after the season started. All the other leagues came to the conclusion they should have a Plan B in place in case fans weren't allowed to return to grounds.

To allow clubs to weigh up how they've done so far this season, decide they're in serious danger of relegation if they continue, withdraw with zero penalty (and wasting everyone's time for the last 3 months) and rejoin the following season isn't a reasonable way to go about things however you dress it up. It's more bonkers than anything I ever experienced in Junior football.

The EoS at least have come up with a fair solution that is probably unlikely to be utilised.

You're assuming that a club in serious danger of relegation is going to withdraw. Look around the leagues where there have been clubs that have withdrawn the majority that pulled out at some stage don't fit that description.

Well my understanding is that one club has been talking about it, might not happen of course. No withdrawals in EoS, and we know the shambles in the WoS.

No withdrawals from the EoSFL yet. They've only just been given the option and isn't the deadline for sometime in December?

In the LL you've got 17 clubs, i'm sure there has been more than one that have discussed it. Doesn't mean it will happen of course.

People picking Vale of Leithen is the same as assuming Fort William, Ardeer Thistle, and Tweedmouth Rangers would have been the first to withdraw from their leagues. People struggle to understand how clubs like that can plod on when they suffer heavy defeats.

The decision should have never been the clubs to make

Fingers crossed fans are allowed back in by February......

Not to say they'll be drawn at home or circumstances can't alter in 8 weeks: but crowds can return to Coldstream, Gala, Gretna, Hawick, Lochar (Dumfries), Peebles, Nithsdale (Sanquhar), Vale of Leithen, Heston (Dumfries), Wigtown and presumably Berwick from this weekend - as Borders and Dumfries & Galloway enter tier 1.

Bo'ness, Camelon, Dunipace, Haddington, Musselburgh, Preston and Tranent are currently tier 2.

Is this the first clash since the change in structure that had both as equal tenants?

Long term a Dundee deal will likely be the solution where the sides alternate who gets the Saturday 3pm K.O

how you decide who gets the first who knows ,  Rock paper, scissors?
