In many respects, the "old head" is worth far more for their experience and positional sense rather than any pace they may not possess. Don't think they wanted to move him on first time but couldn't keep him on the pitch. Thought he was decent last couple seasons against Kilbirnie with Troon and Lang in defence and attack.
