This season especially it will be difficult to impose any rules in this area. The Fauldhouse thread, for example, has listed players leaving, along with naming their new clubs, on a daily basis.
Are they not all going to one club, though ?

True. It does seem to be a one track road.

Would find that strange as the contracts of players do not at best finish until the 3rd week in June therefor a bit oops a lot of TAPPING must have taken place NOT surprised

MacDuff played a few games for us at the tail end of the season. I take it he was signed.   So no tapping involved as far as i know.  Doesn't hide the fact that it goes on though.

Before our new management team had taken their first training session we were hearing about the players they were bringing in from other clubs.   A few weeks into this season and Medda had been nipping away at  Lee Roulston to sign for them.  Any club who say they don't go after players in this way are talking nonsense.  We all know it happens.  It's football.

So a change in structure with George Fotheringham moving to assisting Andy McFadyen. Presume this had been the plan all along as it seems to have happened with no issues. Dont know much about Andy McFadyen. What’s everyone else’s thoughts.

Andy McFadyen is a true gentlemen who has been around the game a long time. Don’t be fooled by his u 21s pedigree as he has been in touch with junior football just as long. More importantly he is a great people person who had opportunities to take other similar jobs in the past. The time is clearly right for him. He has seen players progress to all levels in the game and I’m sure will gel the dressing room when the season starts.

Sounds promising, can’t wait to see who he brings in, hopefully the league structure gets sorted so we can have an idea of what’s happening next season.

Now that we know the teams that we will be competing against next season, everyone at Arthurlie FC can’t wait to get started.

With only 6 players remaining from last season's campaign, our new management team have been working tirelessly in bringing in a combination of experience and youth to push our efforts for promotion. We all look forward to seeing all of our supporters back at Dunterlie as soon as possible, along with a few new faces as well - as Barrhead is growing in size all the time.

As soon as we are given any dates on starting up, we will let everyone know, but in the meantime, please look after each other and stay safe.

Yours in Sport,

Arthurlie FC

Nice post this. Last season was a right scunner for you lads but from the outside, things seem to be improving for you now. Whenever this season starts, Arthurlie will be in a false position IMO. Hopefully bright horizons for the club. All the best.

As nice as this post is mate, Arthurlie are exactly where we deserve to be. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. We have watched as our club has been on a slippery slope for years now.  Some horrendous managerial choices and signing players not fit to wear our shirt has been our downfall and seen a frightening decrease in our attendances at Dunterlie.

Rumours would suggest we are about to sign much better players who hopefully will see us good enough to challenge again.  With only the winners going up from our conference it's going to be tight and we should be one of four teams in with a real shout of getting that promotion.

Thanks for your good wishes they are much appreciated.

Aye well you know your club better than I do mate. Watched the thread last season which was painful at times. I'm obviously going by the history and the perceived stature of the club within the juniors and it's just a shame that they have missed out on the tier 6 position. Anyway, good to see the optimism in what is going to be a bunfight in that "bag o' washin'" of a Conference set up. Stick in!
