Vale of Leven 3-2 Bonnyton Thistle.

Late drama as the Young Vale score deep into stoppage time following an injury to the Bomnyton keeper forced an extra nine minutes. Just as well we scored, as the lights were on a timer and would have gone off at ten, which could have made penalties impossible!

What would use have done if use hadnt scored so late and the game finished 2-2 but lights went out? Toss a coin lol young bankies r through aswell the drum claimed covid  has hit there squad bad. Its happened alot this season

Don't know, could have been a problem! Thankfully we sorted it.

Also went to say speedy recovery to the Bonnyton keeper who it seems has broken his leg. Never nice to see something like that happen.

I see Largs U20s have chucked it. Some amount of Ayrshire teams have folded

Its no big deal, this was expected when the West started that a few teams would fold.

There's only 1 team folded in the East, the reason as they are experienced at u20s for a number of years so they know what is required regarding relationships with coaching staffs and committee and the work each have to do to get it running well whereas over in the West its all new

It’s no big deal? 7 teams from one conference have jacked it for one reason or another, its an absolute shambles

Yeah its no big deal as it was expected.  Most people just look at it like a youth team set up and its far more than that.  This is a new experience for Committees of first teams and quite a few have already got it wrong or had mistakes and tried to deal with them.  Most the teams who folded weren't ready and to be honest, your talking about the Ayrshire teams but the biggest shocking one of all was the Pollok U20s one and again can only assume they have failed due to reasons from the cooperation between the committee and the academy.

As I said the East has only had one team fold and that was recently at U20s level, Livingston United, why because at this level in the East those teams have been going a number of years and the committees and first team and U20s coaches have learned from their mistakes or problems what have arose previously.

If those teams have jacked it in for one reason or another then that tells you they weren't ready

In Largs case it was a combination of the manager leaving to join Greenock Juniors and then the weeks without a game because all the other clubs withdrawing. There was only two games left to play for Largs - both against Irvine Meadow I believe.

With 2 games left, why not just play them and finish the season properly?

They were sadly struggling when we played the a few weeks back. They only had 1 sub and had a player taken to hospital and a player sent off. I wonder if it was the fact they couldn’t raise a team with those 2 things taken into consideration.
