Recommended Posts

Was up donald dewar tonight watching drum united and yoker draw 2-2. Decent match with yokers number 11 and drum number 10 the best players on park. Yoker started the match with 2 number 2s and 2 number 10s jerseys on the park. Surprised the ref let that happen even tho it was a friendly

Does anybody know if it is a different registration process for the under 20’s or are they affiliated to the senior team and it’s them that actually register them

They're all registered together - effectively just big 40-man squads.

Youngsters can play for U20s Friday; play/sit on bench for first-team Saturday; etc. seamlessly.

Obviously those 20+ can't play in U20s games. (Limited over-agers are allowed a few appearances - plus for 2021-22 players who've turned 20 but haven't moved clubs can participate).

Yip correct HibeeJibbee
Any first team player can play for their U20s development to a maximum of 6 games but only in league matches
Any player, even in the first team if he was born in 2001 or less can play for the U20s, (01 player must have been registered with the club on or before 5th of February 2021).
The U20s development team are still allowed to use players from youth clubs for a maximum of 12 times.  This needs to be agreed by the youth club manager.
officially the current ages now elidable for the development teams at players born on 2004, 2003, 2002 and the current ruling of 2001 players).

As far as I'm aware regarding subs, A development team can have 7 subs but can only use 5 of the 7 during a match

To add to that, we had two boys who played for the 20s on Friday night this week who were in the matchday squad for the first team on Saturday. Great to see them involved .
