Noticed that the West Under 21s has reduced from 36 to 24 teams for this season: http://www.west-of-scotland-21s-football-league.co.uk/All_Leagues.html

Most of the teams who left have the name of a WOSFL club.

Ginaro to be honest that's only a contributing factor.
I will say every year league change size, why because there are different amounts of kids playing football in their year, 98s, 99s, 00s, 01s all ages groups

The West of Scotland U21s has been deteriorating for a long time before the Lowland development league even came into existence. Also some teams were just too old for U21s so stopped and some like Rutherglen decided to keep their u21s.
There were also teams where their full team would normally have moved from U19s to U21s but when the opportunity came up of the U20s league its a no brainer.

It really is about development, so whatever is best for our youth should take precedence.
There are far greater problems at youth level than the slow demise of the U21 league

Fixtures and venues are out though there doesn't seem to be a start date confirmed: https://www.eosfl.com/downloads/eosfl/Under-20-League-Fixtures-2020-21.xlsx

There isn’t one. The guidance won’t allow teams to play unless they are in level 0, 1 or 2. With many teams in level 3 they can only do non contact training in small numbers. Need to wait until the levels drop to allow the league to start if possible. Also issue if league starts then the next week different teams fall back to level 3 or 4 then they couldn’t play until coming back out.

Could the youth teams start playing say March/April through the summer ? Guessing they could get the 3g, artificial pitches ok - and play onto the start of season 21/22 ? Enjoyed watching the youth games on a Sunday over the past few years.

I suppose we could, I do wonder and hope that they could maybe pull together a champions league style tournament when the levels are reduced. We need something or there is a real risk of loosing players from the game.

If, and it's still an if, the UK's regulatory agency the MHRA approves the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine next week good things are likely to happen on getting out of Level 3 (Nicola S told us that Level 4 will end on Dec 11 and with vaccinations started by then that will be difficult to do a U-turn on) well before March because the vaccination programme will be able to proceed a lot more rapidly than it would have with only the Pfizer vaccine available.

Guys, you need to realize this is a development league, its not about winning. The whole point is for training and match games to develop players so big deal if the season finishes, league finishes NO.
yes the league is there to be won and a goal for the players

As far as I've have bene officially told and read up on, The league fixtures are out there for the whole season.
For example if the development teams get the go ahead on Tuesday the 12th of January to start playing and training, the next schedule game which is on the 15th will start immediately.

Lets make things clear, no league games or cup games with the development teams for 20/21 will be finished in season 21/22.  it will be a new start for season 21/22 if we come out of the pandemic or the tiers go down to levels 2

Noticed the burgh have signed several Darvel 20s players, hardly surprising considering they’re all local boys.

Do Darvel have enough players for a team?

Darvel u20’s still have a squad although have lost a number of boys

Darvel 20’s  basing themselves (training and games) in Paisley area so the moves to burgh not down to travel I would imagine
