Evening all, hope you are all safe and well. I know Arthurlie 20s are looking forward to coming up against some of the teams in the league especially as we have never played any of them before. I

Cat is out the bag now we've had a meeting with the clubs.  The West of Scotland League will be taking over the running of the Development League for teams in the WoSFL and SoSFL from next season

On the point made by BTSSB up at the top, facilities for U20s don't seem to be too strenous. Plenty of high schools getting used here and there. I hear Glasgow Life not being very co-operative for clubs so those without lights at their own patch may need a bit of creative thinking.

Edit: Mids Uppers used New Tinto rather than their own floodlit pitch at Lockerbie (I assume for travel benefits for opponents?), so that might mean Rossvale have Huntershill to be used again and is maybe more logical anyway.

You're thinking of Upper Annandale at New Tinto, Mids played at Lockerbie.

Application Deadline Day, Today, 15th June.

I don't mind being wrong with this one as it looks like a change of plans at Cumnock.
Definitely a welcome addition to the Lowland Development League

To be honest when I first listed the teams I was thinking if they get to maybe 5 or 6 teams from the West with the current 5 west teams then maybe they could make up a regional West and then an East regionalised and that would be great but in all honestly to get 30 teams officially state they are applying to join the Lowland U20 League with their U20 team is absolutely fantastic and maybe more to follow in next 2 days just makes me think that the Lowland league will just grow from strength to strength

Have confirmed Officially that they have or are applying or operated an Under 20s team in season 19/20.
Nothing is guaranteed until after June the 15th deadline for applications.
The only real problem teams  will have is having the right criteria for their home parks

Cumbernauld, Auchinleck and Rutherglen Glencairn are looking into it but think it looks like 21/22 when they are ready

Largs Thistle twitter is wrong, it's players born on or after 1st January 2001. Can someone contact the club to advise them of their error, as could cause issues if players born 2000 look for a trial

 

It’s getting fixed in the morning.

 

(The amount of times I’ve mixed “before” and “after” up is ridiculous)

oh I don't know? They were playing at Tinto last season though (as per up the thread). I haven't been following this that closely in terms of club transfers however.
