The SPFL recommendation?

Most havent even thought it through...

YOU CANT PROMOTE SIDES BASED ON THEIR POSITION IN AN INCOMPLETE SEASON! They scream...

Next minute they're wanting to use positions in an incomplete season to promote sides...

Apparently promoting teams in the guaranteed promotion spot of top is a travesty and disgrace to the sport, but promoting sides in the play offs, who have no guarantee of promotion, is clearly the correct move.

You can’t use the current league table cos it’s incomplete but let’s dish out prize money based on the current league table......

Quite.

Remarkable how many of these justice warriors happily suggest scenarios where other clubs lose out but their own club benefits.

Dont promote anyone then.

I'm sure in a scenario where, due to rules, Falkirk were denied promotion, your fans would just accept that and not moan about it for decades after...

At the end of the day noone would be being denied promotion they would be being denied the chance of promotion. Raith may or may not have won the league promotion was not a given for them.

Heard a wee rumour that may or may not be from spfl mouth directly about plans for a 16/16/16 league set up under the reconstruction plans being thrown about.

Just look at how good that would be. Personally think this will save Scottish football and make people interested in their clubs again.

Top tier of:
Celtic
Rangers
Motherwell
Aberdeen
Livingston
Hibs
St J
Killie
St mirren
Ross county
Hamilton
Hearts
Dundee utd
Inverness
Dundee
Ayr

Second tier of:
Dunfy
Arbroath
Morton
Alloa
Qots
Partick
Raith
Falkirk
Airdrie
Montrose
EF
Dumbarton
Clyde
Peterhead
Forfar
Stranraer

Third tier of:
Cove
Edin
Cowden
Queens
Elgin
Annan
Stirling
Albion
Brechin
Brora
Kelty
Fraserburgh
Bonnyrigg
Inverurie
East Stirling

The fuel bill alone would bankrupt those clubs in that Third Tier.

And what about the global warming, oh I forgot the planet is already fcuked

Yep. It will be. But realistically, they'll be the only ones to throw the toys out the pram over this.
Promotion / no relegation / no championship gets you Rangers, Hearts, ICT, Partick, Falkirk, Stranraer and Edinburgh at a stroke. Dundee and East Fife might vote for it but it wouldn't matter either way.
Celtic can howl at the moon all they like.

You'd need 11 Premiership clubs to vote in favour of reconstruction, so all it takes is one club other than Celtic to be against it for whatever reason (eg increased chance of relegation, dilution of guaranteed income).

Completely different. We won the league on merit, having completed the whole season.

Remove promotion/relegation this season, increase the number of automatic promotion spots for next season and we go again.

Yes, but Falkirk knew at the start of that season they couldnt get promoted, as the rules were there for all to see.

Yet your fans still bleat about it as an injustice.

Remember how your own club/fans act next time you start criticising others.

Obviously fans are looking after our own teams, some are just more embarrassing at doing it than others!

We are 1 point behind Raith with them to come to our place, would any team be happy just rolling over and accepting it?

If we were in Raith's position of course we would be wanting promotion, it would then be up to Raith to fight for what they think would be fair for them!

Hand on heart it would be much more of an injustice Partick being relegated than Falkirk being denied the chance of winning promotion.

Whilst others struggled to build stadiums you just ploughed all your cash into your squad. One persons ‘merit’ is another persons ‘financial doping’. It’s all about perspective, and once the dust finally settles on this debacle, there will be plenty of competing perspectives for folk to argue about for years.

That's kind of my point. You're reproducing tables without any context. You don't know what's been paid or not and neither do the rags you quote.

This

It has Alloa 3rd bottom of the Champioship to receive £511,500

Not sure Partick can complain too much if they came down at our expense though. We’ve already beaten them this season and looked a superior team.

This. There’s no good guys or bad guys in any of this. Clubs are just looking after their own narrow interests. If the league had been stopped one week later, Falkirk and Rovers league position might have been reversed and each club would be taking a completely different stance than they are at the moment. No problem at all with that.

If we were in Hearts, Partick, Falkirk, Stranraer’s position then I’d be livid and want my club to vote No.  And if they were in ours, they’d have voted Yes, so let’s not try and pretend there’s a principled and an unprincipled position in all of this.

Our plan was to groundshare at that point. ICT were allowed to first ground share and then against top flight rules change grounds half way through a season. Was ok for them but not us. Then you wonder why we bleat about injustice.
