On the subject of Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga’s quartet of Champions League clubs have come together to donate €20million (£18m) in order to help the rest of the German top-flight avoid a financial crisis amid the coronavirus pandemic.

We have a problem if the Scottish league did that.  If the "big 4" in this country did that, we would be in trouble as that includes Rangers and Hearts - both supposedly basket cases...

This is a time when we should all stick together and look out for each other.

£400k for 3 premiership teams and 2 of them if we're being honest don't really need it, £157k for the rest. That doesn't seem fair to me.
£26k for the championship teams, a hell of a drop and we could see teams down there struggling.
£3k/ish for league 1 and just over £1k for league 2, come on we can do better that.

Ok so the only way to get the prize money is to end the current season. That means Celtic are champions, Hearts go down and United come up.

Can you honestly see Rangers and Hearts swallowing that? No chance.

It won't happen. Rangers are relying on soft loans from 'sympathetic' investors to stay afloat. They're not going to advocate hand outs to other clubs.

Hearts simply are in no position to be gifting anyone money either.

Only Celtic could even consider this and even then it's unlikely.

Interview yesterday with Neil Lennin discussing players taking pay cuts,  their wage bill is huge and something as unexpected as this virus will cause them problems too.

Bayern have taken pay cuts as well as giving these hand outs.

Celtic won't do it anyway, certainly not as the only club to do so.

It's not the league it's the clubs and it's four because Germany has 4 Champions League slots, Scotland has one

No chance.

Their 'socialist' fans have very strange views when it comes to how wealth in football should be distributed.  It's almost as if most of them are self-serving wankers.

Socialist fans that follow a staunchly capitalist venture, strange that they don't see it that way.

Clubs who were giving out longer contracts will, obviously, be in a worse situation.

Thankfully for the past few years we've just been giving one or two year contracts. Think we've got quite a lot of players out of contract in May.

There can't be too many clubs giving out more than 2 year contracts these days.

Well then, obviously Celtic should be handing out the money, it's only fair.
