Rangers should be okay. They had about 4 or 5 home games to play where match day income would have generated about another 5k ticket sales per game so the club is only losing out on about £1m. They would arguably have incurred more than £1m in performance related bonus payments to the players if they'd finished the season so it probably won't make too much of a difference in the end. That Euro run this season has been massive, especially squeezing in a final home game on the day of the shutdown.

The German team Rangers played in the Europa league match at Ibrox this month will be due money. Normally they would keep their home gate and Rangers would do the same but if only one game of the tie is played then that gate must be split. They could be owed around £750.000.

Barcelona doing a Hearts with players taking a 70% reduction.

I don't understand why they didn't simply have squillions or at least a years worth of cash in reserve, to see them through the year!

It's simple Mr MacGyver economics after all!

Mr MacGyver preparing for his economics and political economy class at Harvard-Yale where he qualified top of his class and got an 'A'.

That is a completely made up rule which won't happen.

But if it did they'd be due a lot more than £750.000

On the subject of Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga’s quartet of Champions League clubs have come together to donate €20million (£18m) in order to help the rest of the German top-flight avoid a financial crisis amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It's almost like they understand that they don't operate in isolation and being in a league with healthy and competitive opponents is good for them in the long run...

Imagine if that caught on here?
