Guest Posted March 27, 2020 Share Posted March 27, 2020 And the fact that current season runs august to june (10 months) so the new season would be february to november (10 months) therefore the start of the season and end of the season would have the same issue as the middle of the current season. Yes there would still have to be games played in the colder months and our weather is crap at any time of year, but overall there would be fewer games lost to the weather if we could play through summer. Not to mention more long summer nights to enjoy time in your local beer garden before and after matches. For teams without floodlights or even those who could make a saving by not switching them on, those long nights would allow for midweek games without lights on. Long summer nights in beer gardens, have you been to some of the places football is played?
