craigkillie
All of these agreements are only during the period that there are covid restrictions - that's the case for the Premiership and the EFL too.

Its been discussed to death but there's nothing to suggest that the rules on streaming will be any different to pre-covid once fan restrictions are lifted. And there is nothing in the SPFL rule changes concerning live streaming which is specific to the Premiership. Including that the clubs can’t sell the virtual element of season tickets if it will exceed the number of season tickets sold last year without first getting Sky’s permission.

Do uefa not stop games that go up against the champions league/ europa league being broadcast for midweek games?

It's worth noting, because this confused at least one prominent Championship supporter (hi Ewan Murray) when the streaming agreement was announced, that this refers specifically to season tickets, and doesn't preclude clubs from selling as many PPV tickets as they want for these games.

Yeah, Sky also sometimes broadcsst Premiership ones and just pay the fine (or the FA do because the Sky payment is worth more). I believe you are right but what Sky do doesnt prove it.

Thanks. I had already noted it by reading the rules and wasn’t confused.

I wasn't suggesting you were confused, I was making it clear to other people on the thread who might not have read the rules.
vikingTON
Piece in the local paper with Morton CE Dave McKinnon who states that the twice weekly testing regime will cost the club £3500 per week. So we're talking in the region of £120k if not more in terms of additional costs this season if the SG keeps its idiotic protocol measures in place for the entire season.

The “Tele” don’t always get things right, but they do always seem to manage to spell the club chief executive’s name correctly. And to think that it was only last Friday that you posted this on the Morton board about the manager: “At least it's not 'Hopkins' as half of the Scottish media still bizarrely call him.” Oh dear.......... “Open gub, insert foot.......” If ever there was a time to post a smug, gurning pic of old ‘p***k-with-a-fork’ it would be now. But that would be overkill. Edited August 25, 2020 by Rudolph Hucker

Rudolph Hucker
Nope, far from it, but I enjoy sometimes treating him the way he treats other people on here. He’s very quick to dish it out, but he really can’t take it well when somebody points & laughs at him instead.

Too bad that no one told him testing isn’t required yet for the Championship on down, and it isn’t even determined if it’ll be required when play starts either.

It will be required when games start under the rules as they stand. It's been withdrawn for training only just now.

The explanation of the withdrawal of the requirement was based upon training without games/friendlies, and seems to be based upon the falling of positive test rates below a chosen standard. It’s likely further evolution will occur, better or worse.
craigkillie
So you're saying Greenock Morton shouldn't plan for the costs of testing, just in case the rules change and they don't actually have to do it? Seems like a sound business model to me.

Just as well all clubs got £50k from Mr Anderson to help Covid costs that will cover costs till end of 2020...
