A quick google shows that they stopped taking payments from April 17th till they reopened. Whether people in high risk groups could suspend payments longer I’ll leave for someone else to look up

What's your point?

So there are people who've been paying...whatever it is now, think it was a tenner a month last time when I was signed up...all through the lockdown despite the fact that the company's unable to provide the service? Wow.

I should have probably quoted this one as well as @Jamie_M

Why.
Jamie, Cineworld announced it was closing due to the Bond film being delayed until the spring. I'm actually really impressed you've managed to make that correlation with why some fans can't go on the terracing at Gayfield to watch Arbroath vs Morton in the scottish championship.

How?
Most of those attending Cineworld right now will already be paid up ticket holders (Cineworld Unlimited subscribers) looking to get value out of their subscription.
Operation not viable with few PAYG customers and only selling a few extras like snacks to a percentage of the subscribers.
Lot of parallels there.
Cine world is also closing due to no new movies being produced to generate a crowd.

A bond link you're looking for? 6:23

27 countries in Europe are allowing some fans into football matches including France, Germany, Spain, Italy,Hungary, Holland, Denmark and Norway but obviously we know best. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A deeply moronic comment.

Are you suggesting that all these European countries run by morons? Especially those nations with similar rates to ourselves? emoji848.png

Err no, I don't think he is. He's not looking as far afield as that.

Not suggesting this is definitive, but it’s a real puzzler:

Albert Hall, London; indoor venue; capacity 5272; authorised capacity from December - 3000 [57%]

Cappielow Park, Greenock; outdoor venue; capacity 11589; authorised capacity for the foreseeable - zero [0%]

Discuss.

Schedule a ballet and an opera at Cappielow, ask the SG how many can attend and report back (Although, scheduling a performance of Das Götterdämmerung at East End Park might be more appropriate).

Scottish Opera are planning on putting on an outdoor production of La Bohème. Currently slated to be staged at their HQ in Cowcaddens you could try tempting them to Greenock

I’d suspect that Firhill or Tynecastle would be better placed to bid for it but if you don’t ask you don’t get.

We specialise mainly in comedy, with the occasional tragedy thrown in...

Both of you should be utterly ashamed that you know something about opera, btw...

I don’t know, the Ring Cycle is a pretty good proxy for supporting a fitba team...opens with the drama of an important signing, carries on with the loss of the signing to a higher level club, then a home grown talent brings the higher level club to its knees in a Cup match, although his career is ended in the process and the resulting infighting causes the club to enter Administration and get relegated.

I don’t watch Scottish Premier League at all but the general consensus in England is that the quality of play has improved with no fans.

I would agree on purely that front but it would still be way better with the crowds back.
