AyrshireTon
16 clubs out of 42 were in favour of it. Hearts, Partick Thistle, Stranraer & ICT - who else?

AyrshireTon
So how did Doncaster come to think that there was sufficient support for this?

Yes - your answer could be a postscript to any answer, in fairness.

This was a vote to see what appetite there is. The BBC reporting on this has been shameful. Tom English is so far up Ann Budges arse hes started a propaganda tweet claiming Brechin (not in an automatic relegation spot) are being treated differently to Hearts. That's the "chief sports writer" for the BBC, failing to understand the basics. That Kheredine boy, who has no idea about football at all and is a tennis reporter, isbjust spouting whatever known liar and moron Scot Gardiner tells him is fact.

I'm convinced this was to further protect the SPFL by having reconstruction go to one last conclusive vote, regardless of how many teams indicated support for it. The SPFL can now categorically say that the clear majority of clubs did not have the appetite for recon, but at least they gave it a fair shot.

BeeJay
I wonder if we would have the same reaction to there being no reconstruction had St Mirren been bottom of the Premiership and QOS bottom of the Championship at the time of lockdown. No chance whatsoever.
Jamie_M
"We can hold our heads up high as we have acted at all times with integrity, common sense and with the best interests of Scottish football at heart." Sit doon and get doon. "Given that this is now an active legal matter, the club will be offering no further comment at this time." Praise the lord. Finally some peace and quiet. Looking forward to the courts bitch-slapping you also.

There wouldn’t have been any reaction to no reconstruction because there wouldn’t have been a discussion or a vote.
