At no point did Ann Budge say there were friends of hers. She didn’t even say these particular people  had invested in Hearts before either. Surely a promise of money is a positive gesture before a vote? The last few gesture have been threats issued by Doncaster and his buddies

She said they will be investing through her.

The money hinges on her.

Shes wanting an unknown source to give cash to lower league clubs, without contracts or a legal trail, days before a vote.

She says it doesnt depend on the vote? Shes lied about the vast majority of things in the last month alone.

Where the f**k did you get that from?

She got told to make it an official offer of a donation, and it would be put to a vote next week after the reconstruction vote and she refused to do so.

That's her own words in the interview.

Astonishing stuff on Sportsound just now. Interview with Budge where she says that she has philanthropists ready to pump multi millions into Scottish Football, especially the lower leagues, with no catches (won’t save  Hearts, Thistle or Stranraer) She approached SPFL and was told to do a paper!! Doncaster getting flamed. Money is ready to go into clubs accounts now and they are being told to put in a paper. You couldn’t make it up.
Well I think there would have to be checks on the credibility of where this money was coming from.

Could be some Saudi Arabia slave trade money for all you know

Surely there are legal and ethical questions about it though? Possibly contractual issues with league sponsors?

I cant imagine the SPFL or SFA can just accept large amounts of money without assurances of where the money comes from (i.e. making sure its not illegally earned money).

Obviosuly any money coming in would be great, but there are usually catches to these things. Makes sense the SPFL/SFA wouldnt just take the money and run with it without needing some due diligence.

There's also the Ann Budge clusterfuck factor which should send alarm bells ringing.

No, you can just take it. Her pal has been saving up.

You can make it up because that's exactly what Ann Budge has done

Exactly. She all but admitted her reconstruction plans are dead in the water. People commenting while not even listening to the show. Doncaster has now contacted the show and says he will be urgently contacting her to discuss

Purposefully misconstruing things there. The SPFL released a statement saying that at no point was it made explicit any cash offers were unconditional.

She said they have donated millions to Hearts.

Can you give us a link to the statement? thanks

Partick fans desperately clambering aboard Ann Budge's patently sinking ship to save themselves is an unexpected but hilarious turn of events. It'll just make their trouncing and shared relegation all the more pleasing.

I listened to the interview and if there is millions of pounds earmarked for Scottish football with no strings then great. However, I too am extremely dubious about all this and it is surely a smokescreen designed to curry favour with the lower leagues in a last desperate appeal to get her reconstruction passed.

Perhaps you can share with us where Thistle are going to be saved by this proposal. If it happens the only thing we will get out of it ,  like everyone else, is some desperately needed cash.

You're embarrassing yourself.

Ann Budge was on Sky yesterday, and never mentioned a single thing about it.

Why, then, do you think she suddenly decided to announce it on Scottish radio, days before a vote, when those "questioning" her were people who have supported her the entire time?

Almost as if todays performance was nothing more than a propaganda speech so she dropped in something to rile up the masses.

We now live in a world where Neal Doncaster is ripping the pish out of someone. Fucking hell.

He's been ripping the pish out of everyone for years.

I cannot see why Partick and Falkirk are not leading a process to restructure the bottom three leagues.

Forget change at the premiership and focus on a 12-12-10-10 setup for this coming session and maybe a 12-12 if no clubs can play. Most of the top league are happy with the size and temporary changes just bring problem s a year or two down the line.

Dont expect Hearts plans to pass as they are throwing bribes and threats at all hoping one of these will work.

Get Falkirk up and keep Partick in. Would be a cracking league in my humble opinion
